The unofficial continuation of Pretty, small time skip in the beginning

——

Will stood in front of the mirror as he twirled in a circle. His brown hair was now slightly grown out, and it moved animatedly as he spun.

He admired himself in the mirror, something he never thought he'd be able to do. He was dressed in a white turtleneck sweater and baggy light-blue ripped jeans.

He borrowed the turtleneck from his mother, so it was a little big and a lot of people would've called it feminine, but that was the appeal for him.

Will appreciated being able to wear whatever made him feel comfortable, and sometimes "girly" clothes did that for him. He personally believed clothes had no gender and his two best friends supported that fact completely.

He grinned and pulled on his all white converse. They were some of his favorite shoes because they literally went with everything. He took one last look at his finished outfit and made his way to the house phone to dial Mike.

He had met Mike at Starcourt Mall's ice cream parlor, Scoops Ahoy. He was awe-struck by the boy's beauty and they'd hung out a couple times in groups, wanting to get to know each other better.

It'd been about three months since they'd met for the first time, and yesterday Mike asked Will out. Not exactly like a date though. Mike had just asked for them to hangout alone.

Regardless of the lack of romance, that was still more than enough for Will. He practically skipped all the way to El's house, where Max also was, so he could gush all about it to the two girls.

They had gone shopping that same day to get him the jeans he was currently wearing. Max gave him a pep-talk this afternoon and El had called him right before he began to get dressed to make sure he was still functioning properly.

He was more than thankful for his friends, and really excited to be going on a hangout with just him and Mike. He wrapped his finger around the cord, a bad habit he started doing whenever he talked to Mike.

Once the curly haired boy picked up the phone, Will felt the anxious feeling bubbling in his stomach start to fade away. It seems dramatic, but he really liked this boy.

"Hey Will!" Mike chirped on the other line, "Are you ready for me to come over?"

The brunette blushed lightly, "Um- yeah I am, I can't wait to see you!"

Will began to twirl his finger around the cord, and his face became even hotter. He felt himself shift his body so he was kind of leaning against the wall as they talked.

"Okay cool, I'm on my way then, I can't wait to see you too."

Will giggles quietly, turning redder with embarrassment, "Okay Mike, I'll see you then."

"Bye Will," Mike says with happiness lacing his tone.

Will hangs the phone back up and goes straight to the door. He knows it'll be about five minutes before Mike gets there, but he can't help the excitement he was feeling at the moment.

Mike and him were practically going on a date!

He was quickly snapped from his thoughts by a ring at the doorbell. Had he really been thinking about Mike for a whole five minutes?

Nonetheless, he opens the door and gives Mike a shy wave.

"Hi Mike." Will greets with a bright smile that Mike returns.

Mike engulfs Will in a big hug, "I missed you!"

Will wraps his arms around the taller boy too, burying his face into his shoulder. They take in the feeling of each other, never really wanting to let go.
