I sat on a chair humming as my stylist stood spraying what seemed to be a million cans of hairspray.I frowned staring at my hair, watching her stop every few seconds, re-adjusting tiny strands.
"Why are you putting so much on?" I reached my hand up to gently poke my hair. Before I could I felt a sharp slap on my wrist, quickly making me retract it.
"Because..." She stared back down at my hair focusing again,"It won't stay in the right place!" She moved the can away from my head, letting the peace of hair ping back up into the air.
"Maybe you just need to hold it in place while it drys." I take the peace of hair pushing it back down to my fringe, holding it there for a few seconds, slowly letting go.
It had stayed in place for about five seconds before pinging back up again. She continued spraying.
"My hair is going to be like a helmet." I spoke in a sought of monotone voice, staring blankly into the mirror again.
"You know, sometimes I wonder if you can see into different dimensions through mirrors." She sighs shaking her head, still focussed on my hair.
I frown,"What-?" I turn to look at her.
She redirects my head to the mirror before talking again,"Your always staring. Not like a normal stare. A really intense stare, like you can see something through it."
"I'm pretty sure it's just called zoning out. Besides I like looking at my own eyes, it's therapeutic."
"Do you not get bored of just staring?" I shake my head, yawning slowly, placing my hand over my mouth.
"You should sleep more." She moved away from me, putting a few objects back into there designated place's.
"I do sleep. A lot actually. I was just watching stuff with Kai last night." I shrugged leaning back closing my eyes gently.
"Wake up! You don't have time to be sleeping! You have acting to be doing!" She pulled me up from the chair.
"I can't really act. What if I look absolutely awful compared to the others? It's practically like Hollywood actors... next to a normal person!"
"I'm not sure it's that bad." I crossed her arms over her chest stopping what she was doing.
"It definitely is." I sigh shaking my head walking away with a stressed out look on my face.
"I didn't even finish your hair." She threw her arms down to her side.
I had walked to far away, her voice had been drowned out by the constant deafening chatter and the loud hum of random songs being played around the set.
I was well and truly lost and slightly overwhelmed. I hadn't really ever been someone to spend my time in large crowds. In fact, I had tried my hardest all my life to avoid large social gatherings and groups. Ever since I was young I would only ever have one or two friends at a time, usually enjoying my own company far more than others.
I hadn't been raised as a very social or tactile child. My dad made sure of that. As soon as I was able to walk, I was taught to look after myself, and by the time I was ten I was able to cook for myself, do my own washing and ironing things that even some young adults can't do.
Anyway, that's a story for another time. I had to focus.
"Huening~" I sung softly walking behind him.
"Hi hyung! You look so good!" He turned to look at me, placing his hands on my shoulders.
I blushed gently, looking away from him.
