Flies.

Mingi hated them.

He hated the noises of the buzzing they made.

Mingi hated what they represented too.

Death.

Decay.

Rotten.

Dirty.

Living in the country did not do Mingi justice for it either.

He was surrounded by decay and rot.

All he wanted was to go to sleep without hearing the buzzing of the fly.

Not flies, fly.

It was always one fly that buzzed around his room, pissing Mingi off as it did.

The thing was, Mingi could never kill the fly.

It was always there. Buzzing around him like like the madness of his thoughts.

Why couldn't he kill the fly?

No matter how many times he zapped, squashed, and smashed the fly...it always came back.

Mingi rested on his bed, eyes wide open as he watched the fly land on his things only to move again.

All he wanted was to bring his boyfriend and friends over without the stupid fly bothering them...well, him.

No one else seemed to hear or see it.

He once brought his boyfriend, Yunho, over for a sleepover and apologized for the annoying fly in his room.

Mingi remembered Yunho giving a strange look before telling him, "What fly?"

He remembered how Yunho called him crazy as he pointed to the obvious fly.

After that, Mingi never invited anyone over. He decided that they were just messing with him and that was it.

The fly was real.

Everything was real.

Mingi watched his fan move like it was in slow motion.  Focusing on the slow moments and the sounds it made. It helped him from going mad because of the buzzing.

'You're crazy, Mingi! There is no fly there, love.'

Yes, yes, there is a fly.

It's real.

Buzzing.

The damn buzzing.

Mingi got up and watched the fly buzz and fly around his room. Watching it like a hawk as it landed on his desk.

He was going to kill it.

Kill it.

Kill it.

Kill it.

Buzzing and more buzzing.

Mingi hated that noise.

He slowly got up, raising his hands to prepare to smash it.

Smash it.

Kill it.

Kill it.

Buzzing, more buzzing.

It was like a dream, how the room seemed to shift and change.

Mingi could barely walk as he tried to follow the fly as it moved.
