Blue flew through space at the speed of light. Space was dark. Sure there were the stars and usually he admired how prettily they decorated the vast reach outside his temple or the long passed times that he and his fellow Diamonds would voyage on their shared ship. But now they passed him by, too quick and incessant, like they were flying away from him.
At the speed he fell it wasn't long before he caught fire. His eyes squeezed shut from the sting of the heat and his teeth clenched as he shook upon further approach into Earth's atmosphere.
And before he knew it, the stars were gone.
"Thanks for the pizza, [Y/N]!" Sadie called out. You waved to her and the others with a smile as you walked out the restaurant
You honestly hated to leave them so early. The night was still young, but your social battery had been worn out from playing "cool manager" with the owner of the revenue that your band had played for. But aside from that you felt it was a night well spent!
After Sadie Killers rocked the local stadium, you were paid a hefty sum of money that you used to take everyone out to Fish Stew Pizza -- not only as a good boss, but as a friend!
As of right now fatigue was getting to you and you figured it was time to turn in. Maybe not sleep exactly -- not yet. But binging a few seasons of your favorite show until four in the morning sounded great.
Your house was located on the outer edges of Beach City. It was a bit of a walk (probably should've worn more comfortable shoes) but for the long way it was nice to just look around and observe. It was pretty this time of night, the sun had just set, leaving behind a pretty tinge of violet fading into dark blue.
And... was that a shooting star?
He blacked out. The ground shook violently on impact.
You stumbled and fell on your butt as the ground rumbled beneath you.
NOT A SHOOTING STAR. DEFINITELY NOT A SHOOTING STAR!
In fact, whatever that was had landed on the shore near your house (and thankfully not on it). It was emitting smoke from the crash site.
Seeing as it was on your property, you had no other option but to check it out. You got up, brushed yourself off and went full speed ahead for your home. For some reason your heart felt heavy in your chest. But you were certain it was just a meteor or something... right?
