Chapter 9

Welcome Back Sidneetians!

Let's start with the chapter.

1 month later

Me: Can't wait to see how beautiful you'll look in your dress
Avneet: Can't wait to see you too

I still remember how I wore the tux infront of her yesterday and we ended up making out for an hour. I feel like I'm twenty again, I love exploring new sides of her everyday, Avneet makes me feel like every minute in my life was worth waiting to meet a woman like her.

Me: See you in a few hours baby
Avneet: Sure, Daddy!!
Me: You're lucky that I cant do anything to your beautiful face rn.
Avneet: you sound like a psychopath

I put the phone down as I picked up the tux I was wearing today. Finally Avneet is going to meet my family. I've already made up my mind, Avneet is the one. Although it is going to be really difficult considering our age l gap, but I want to make this happen.

Bhavesh is one of the best men so he's getting ready with me.
"How does this look on me?" He asked as he walked inside my room in his tux.
"Perfect" I said as I sat on the bed. Alot of things were going on in my mind, today is my brother's wedding but I feel tense, keeping secrets sucks.
"Don't think too much Siddharth" he said putting his hand on my shoulder.

"I know but I can't help, I feel like I'm doing something wrong"
"You should tell Avneet, Siddharth. Actually you should've told her the truth on the same day. I get it might get conveyed wrongly but she deserves to know" he said as I nodded.
"I'll tell her tonight once the party's over"
"Good. Get ready and pick your date before she comes here and makes out with you"
"Shut up" I hit him mildly
"No you guys are gross, you don't care if I'm there or not" he laughed as I started putting on the shirt.

-Avneet's pov-

"I'm leaving Avneet, make sure you lock the door before leaving" she said as she checked her purse.
"Okay mom"
"Also are you sure you can go alone?"
"Riyaz will pick me up mom, it's his sisters birthday after all" I smiled as she nodded and shut the door behind her. I hate lying.

I quickly changed into the pastel blue gown that Siddharth got me. I pinned half of my hair and decorated it with a small flower clip. I did my makeup as fast as I could and put on my accessories. I heard a knock on the main door as I knew who it was. I walked out to the door and opened it.
"Siddh---Bhavesh?"
"Hi Avneet, Siddharth had to run early to the venue, the florists made a mistake with the theme" he said.

"Really? I hope it was fixable. I would freak out if this happened on my wedding"
"Haha I get it. Shall we get going then?" He asked as I nodded. I got in the car and we made small talks, I wasn't 100% comfortable with Bhavesh cause I met him only two weeks back and he's one year older than Siddharth. We reached the venue within 30 minutes as I got down. The place was so beautiful.

"It's looks too beautiful" I said as Bhavesh joined my side. There were a lot of people already in the venue, people gave quick states as I awkwardly smiled at them.
"Have you met his family?" I asked.
"I've known him for 15 years Avneet" he said
"I was only 6 years old when you guys became friends" I giggled as he laughed.
"You really think weird Avneet"

"You look beautiful young lady" someone said as I turned around. It was a man and he looked good, by that I mean he looked like a model.
"I'm Manas, are you from the bride's side?" He asked as I shook my head.
"Groom's" I said
"Really? Wanna come with me I'll take you around" Someone cleared their throat catching our attention. Siddharth.

"Behave yourself Manas, she's with me" he said as he wrapped his arm around my waist.
"She's Avneet? Oh my god I finally met you. Siddharth told me a lot about you"
"Alright alright you can leave now" Siddharth said as he looked at me.
"You look like a princess right now" he crashed his lips on mine as we started kissing.
"No no not infront of me again" Bhavesh grunted.

"Then go join Abhishek dada, he must be in the groom's room" once Bhavesh left he looked at me.
"I love this dress on you" he said as he held both of my hands.
"Thank you" I am a tomato. I'm blushing all over my body.
"Just a 'thank you'? Don't I deserve more?" He asked as I hit him.
"You look good too. This tux fits you well" I said as I straightened his collar which was out of place.

"Hmm I like this. You fixing my collar. Very romantic baby" he smiled as I laughed. He's something else.
"Siddharth the flowers are fixed---is this Avneet?" She looked a little old.
"Yes mom, Avneet this is Vibha Nigam aka my mother and mom this is Avneet Kaur my girlfriend"
"She looks very pretty" she hugged me as I bent myself a little to hug her comfortably.

"It's really nice to meet you Avneet, I'm very sorry but I have to be somewhere. But Siddharth will be with you--"
"No problem Mrs. Nigam, it's okay" I said as she hugged me once before leaving.
"Your mother is really nice"
"She is, c'mon I'll introduce you to my brother"

The after party started a while ago, I met a lot of people from his family and they all welcomed me warm. I was a little nervous about them but it turned out well. I got changed into a different outfit. I was talking with Manas, Siddharth's nephew.
"So you were his student? Waaah this is an epic love story. This is my plot for the next book"
"You write?" I asked as he nodded.

"Yes like a hobby but I'm planning on taking it serious after school" he said as I hummed. I looked around for Siddharth, he was quite busy looking after the guests and I totally understand. I felt someone's arm around my waist and I quickly recognised.
"I'm sorry for leaving you alone" he kissed my cheek from behind as I smiled.

"Manas your mom was looking for you" he said before he held my hand and walked.
"Let's get something to drink" he said as he ordered two mocktails.
"Were you bored?" He asked as he tucked a stand of hair behind my ear.
"No, I like your family they're quite fun to talk with" I said as he hummed.
"They told me they liked you too"

"Really?" He nodded.
"Why do you look so good today? Did you put on some charm to attract me?" He asked as he placed his hand on my thigh.
"So l don't look good on other days?"
"You do baby, you look absolutely gorgeous everyday but today you look special" he leaned forward and pecked my lips. We got our drinks as we walked towards the back.

"Should I take you to my place right now sweetheart? I really want to---."
"Avneet?" My heart stopped from the voice. Mom. Fear overtook me as I looked up. So she was coming to this wedding, her friends daughters wedding. Fuck.
"You said you were going to Riyaz's place?" She asked as she came closer to me. Shit. Shit. shit.

"Mom let's talk outside please" I said as she nodded and walked outside the hall.
"Is that your mom Avneet?" He asked. I was panicking. I'm dead as of today.
"I didn't greet her properly"
"Siddharth l tell you later, I really have to talk with her. Please don't come out okay?" I said as I kissed his cheek before leaving.

-Avneet's pov-

"Mom" I bashed out of the door to find her standing with her arms folded. She's mad. Very mad. I never once thought that the bride was her friends daughter, like what kinda coincidence is this.
"Would you tell me what's going on? Why you're in a wedding when you had to attend a birthday party?"
"There wasn't a birthday party" I said quietly
"I did not raise a liar" she said as I lowered my head.
"And why the hell were you walking hand in hand with your math teacher? Avneet I swear I'm losing my mind, why are you here?" She screamed as l jerked in fear.

"Mom---I'm"
"Speak Avneet, you don't get to do whatever you want. Why are you with him? What kind of teacher invites his student?"
"I'm dating him mom" I said as tear slipped from my eyes.
"What? Is this a joke?" She screamed.
"Mom please, let's talk at home not here"
"He's almost 15 years older than you Avneet, have you lost your mind?"

"Mom please, let's go" I held her hand as she pushed me away "Why didn't you tell me Avneet? Why did you keep it a secret? Because you know this is wrong?" I cried. My bloodshed eyes met
Siddharth's, where he stood near the door with no emotions. I shook my head as I saw his eyes glistening. I lied to him. My mom did not like him. My mom would never approve us.

" What kind of teacher does---"
"MOM!! STOP!! STOP TALKING! How can you say something like that" I was cried abruptly now.
"Please go away, and thank you for ruining it today" I said as I ran inside the hall to find Siddharth. Bhavesh caught my hand.
"What's going on Avneet, why was Siddharth upset?"

" Where did he go?"
"He must be in the groom's room" he said as I quickly ran to the room behind the hall. I opened the door, Siddharth was sitting as he rested his elbows on his knees.
"Siddharth let me explain-" he looked at me as his eyes were bloodshot as well, he was crying. I made him cry. I quickly hugged him as he stayed still.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to lie to you"
"Do I embarass you Avneet? Is it because I'm old? Am I an embarrassm--."
"No no no, you weren't, Siddharth please don't say that. I promise it wasn't-"
"Alright"
"I was afraid Siddharth, I was afraid if I said that it wouldn't be the same. I wanted us to-."
"Okay" he said as he pulled back.
"I'm so sorry, I was aware my mom wouldn't be supportive" I cried as he held my cheeks.

"I get it Avneet, I just wanted to know if you were thinking--"
"I would never, I swear I wouldn't Mr. Nigam" I cried. I feel so bad, so freaking bad for hurting him.

"Stop crying, I said it's okay" he pulled me to his chest as I cried.
"Stop you're ruining your makeup baby"
"Don't pretend to be okay Siddharth"
"I was a little upset that you lied but I know now, you're still my girlfriend and I still love you the same" he said as my eyes widened. I pulled back.
"You said you love me" I said as he smiled.
"I do, I love you baby" he said as I smiled, my tears still staining my face.

"I want to say it back too but don't usually people think before saying it back?" I asked
"Alright don't say it then. Think and let me know"
"Okay I thought for a second and I love you too"
He laughed as he pinched my cheek.
"I'm letting you go because I love you, or else I would eat you right now"
"That sounded so wrong" I laughed as he held my hand and stood up. "Fix your makeup sweetheart" he said as he took a tissue and handed it to me.

Once I was done I walked out with him. I still did not recover from the event, I have to get things right with my mom. I can't deal with it right now, I need to focus on Siddharth, I've hurt him so much tonight.
"Siddharth, I want to stay with you tonight but will I be interrupting? Your brother just got and you'll be busy."
"You can sweetheart but don't you have to talk to your mom first"

"I don't feel really good today, I'll deal with it tomorrow. Let's have some ramen tonight" I said as he kissed my cheek.
"You don't want to eat here?"
"I want to eat here and then eat again at-----.
Suddenly someone's voice interrupted our conversation "Dad, you're here" I looked down to find a small boy around 5 years.

Dad? Wtf?

BOOOOM!!!!

Avneet's mother now know that they are dating and she is hella angry! Will she ever accept them?

And then there's Jay calling Siddharth dad infront of Avneet.

Now what will happen??

Will they stay together or Avneet will breakup with him?
