-Avneet's pov-

I woke up with a mild headache, I have to face Riyaz agai---- that's when I realised I wasn't in that room, I was in the hospital bed.
"Hey, you're awake" I heard a whisper and somebody ran their hand through my hair. I
flinched from the touch. Then I realised it was Siddharth. It's over now. Everything is over.
"How do you feel baby?" He asked as I tried sitting up. He held me as he helped me sit up.

"My head hurts a little but I'm fine I guess" he said.
"Alright, should I get the doctor?" He asked as I shook my head. I opened my arms as he smiled.
"You missed me huh?" He giggled as he gave me the biggest hug he could.
"I was so worried about you baby" he kissed my temple as I held on to him.
"I'm so sorry" I whispered
"What? No why are you sorry for" he pulled back and held my cheeks.

"I gave you so much trouble, if only I was a little awar-"
"Shh shh what are you talking about? You're my girlfriend Avneet, I would do a million things for you" I couldn't stop the tears that were piling up in my eyes.
"I cannot believe it all happened" I broke down into tears as I leaned on him. I have still not recovered from event. This will haunt me forever.
"I know baby, it's hard. But you don't have to worry about anything, he's going to jail and I will be with you all the time" he's going to jail.

I don't know why but my heart feels heavy. Him being my friend was much longer than him being my kidnapper, I cannot accept the fact that Riyaz did this, I would believe if someone said if it was a a dream. He was my best friend, my only best friend but l lost him, lost him to something that possessed him. I don't want to think if this was his motive all along. I have enough on my plate already.
"I miss him Siddharth, I wish he did not do this"

I cried in Siddharth's shirt, I did not care if I ruined it.
"Everything happens for a reason baby"
"I know. He's a monster but I cannot forgot the old him. All the things he did to me, I thought he really cared"
"It's okay" he patted as I wiped my tears off. I'm safe now. That is all I should think about.
"I'm sorry for this" I pointed to my neck as he looked at me.
"Why did you do it Avneet? You know it's--"
"He threatened to kill you, he sent his men out there to look for you and kill you" his face softened.

"Gosh Avneet, come here" he pulled me to his chest. I did not tell to make him feel bad.
"You know how dangerous that spot is right? Fuck baby, I'm so sorry for letting you go through this. You were brave, you fought and I really love you for that. And again I'm sorry for letting this happen"
"It's not your fault, who thought the angel would turn into a devil out of the blue'" I giggled as he kissed my cheek.

"Siddharth, I want to go for therapy" I said as he looked at me like I was some lost puppy.
"Is it hard?" He asked as I nodded.
"I'll book an appointment soon. Avneet tell me everything okay? Whatever you feel, physically and mentally" he said as I nodded.
"I want to go back home" I said whining.
"Sure baby once the doctor says you're fine we can leave" he said. I noticed he was still in the clothes from yesterday.
"How long was I out for?

"Around 20 hours" he said
"Were you here all the time?" He just nodded.
"Siddharth, you should go home. You look exhausted, go get some sleep and take a shower"
"Who told you, you can order me around?" He giggled
"I want to stay with you baby, I cannot leave unless you're coming with me" he held my hand.
"Your mom was here too the whole time. I asked her to go home and get some rest" he said
"Wow and she didn't kill you?" I laughed

"She loves me now what do you mean" he laughed as I widened my eyes.
" Really?"
"Yeah, you have no idea how broken she was when she found out about you. She told me she trusts me with you and also gave me the approval"
"Approval? Am I dreaming?"
"No you're not. We talked for quite a while and I think we're besties now" he said as I laughed
"Who are you and what have you done to my Siddharth?"
