Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
And nothing else mattersFaye woke up with a flinch. She had absolutely no idea where she was, or whose alarm she was hearing. Did she go home with someone that previous night? Why was his or her bed so uncomfortable and lumpy? What was that noise from all around and why was she moving?
The fucking bus...
Her eyes shot open wide and she pushed her upper body into a sitting position. What time was it? How long has she been sleeping? How much of what happened last night had been a dream?
She blinked a few times to get familiar with her surroundings, and when her eyes finally got adjusted to the light, she saw Alex sitting on the double seat on the other side of the isle. They were both sat with their legs up on the seat and their backs against the window. Alex was smirking at her and her confused state, and she frowned at him.
I guess that part wasn't a dream
"You've only been sleeping for half an hour."
Faye nodded as a thanks for the information. They were quiet for a few seconds. None of them had any idea what to say because the situation they were in were so fucking absurd.
Faye rubbed her eyes which made her makeup smudge a bunch. "What the fuck is going on..."
Alex chuckled to himself. "I don't know man..."
"When can I get off this fucking bus?"
"Also don't know."
She looked at him and raised her eyebrows. "Is there anything you do know?"
Alex rolled his eyes. "Alreyt, fuck off. We got on at the same time, how am I supposed to know anything more than you?"
"God, sounds like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bus..." Faye said and put her feet on the floor and sat properly in the seat.
"Does it? Because actually, I 'ant slept a second because I'm stuck on this fucking thing with you, which wasn't exactly my plan for the weekend," he snapped back and Faye kept looking out the window.
"Why did you get on then? If I remember correctly yer the one who came up to me."
Alex sighed dramatically and decided to drop it. Mainly because he had never met anyone as stubborn, and it would've gotten nowhere. But he was royally regretting his choices lately.
"Weren't you supposed to be at a party?" Faye asked.
"Aww, I can't believe you remembered..." Alex teased with a cheeky smile. Faye glared at him with and rolled her eyes as she turned to the window again, which Alex found hilarious.
"Forget that I asked then..." she mumbled and Alex chuckled.
"I were at the party, it was boring, I left."
Alex had in fact finally gotten enough and left Eva's house. He quickly told Matt he was leaving and then he walked back into town. He figured that he was going to get a couple of beers or shots down before he went home. It was March 17th, he wasn't going to call it a night without getting pissed first, even though his mood had been in the trenches. That hadn't changed yet either.
"You?" He asked.
"I were at the boardwalk, I wanted a smoke, I left. And then fucking riot vans rolled up and claimed that people were causing a disturbance, and that's when you showed up and dragged me off to an alley..." Faye answered with a sarcastic smile. Alex huffed.
