The Contractors (A Call Of Duty Modern Warfare OC Book)

(A/N) For those curious to know what RONIN is...

What is it?:
RONIN is a fictional Japanese private military company (PMC) that I came up with. This PMC is stationed and operates only in Japan with many of its contractors being either Japanese or mixed with Japanese. It was founded & created in 2004 by an ex JSDF named Koji Hamada.

System:
RONIN has a 'class' system for its company to separate and differentiate its personnel from each other.

Assault: Carries an assault rifle & a pistol along with some frag grenades & flashbangs. Many are equipped with night vision goggles or have a flashlight. Wear dark tactical uniforms with bulletproof vests and wear either FAST, MICH, crye helmets or baseball caps.

Rusher: Carries a shotgun and a burst pistol along with semtex grenades & stun grenades. Many rushers have night vision goggles, and flashlights. Many wear lightweight equipment and wear black, grey or dark grey clothing with bulletproof vests and wear mainly FAST helmets.

Juggernaut: Carries a light machine gun and a desert eagle to level the battlefield and carry frag grenades & flashbangs. Many undergo training to build up larger muscles and wear heavy equipment and wear grey uniforms with tougher armour. Many wear MICH helmets with either a flashlight or night vision goggles.

Recon: Carries a DMR and a pistol along with thermites and flashbangs. They wear black clothes, and normal equipment and wear FAST helmets. Many carry a drone on their back to use for reconnaissance purposes. They're also equipped with toolboxes to repair their drones or other military equipment.

Medic: Carries a submachine gun and a burst pistol along with throwing knives & stun grenades. They all wear white clothing & a red armband with bulletproof vests with baseball caps. They carry medical tools with them wherever they roam to help treat wounded contractors.

Engineer: Carries a submachine gun and a pistol along with a proximity mine and a snapshot grenade. They wear grey clothes and wear bulletproof vests with crye helmets with night a flashlight or night vision goggles. Many carry tools to repair military vehicles such as UAVs, helicopters, drones or even wheelsons (mini tank RCs).

Sniper: Carries a sniper rifle and a revolver along with claymores and flashbangs. They wear camo clothes, (black: urban, green: forest, white: snow, brown: desert) and wear hoods or FAST helmets with flashlights or night vision goggles.

Rivalries & relationships:
The PMC has been known to start positive relationships or rivalries with other private military companies across the globe.

Triangle: The Singaporean PMC otherwise known as Triangle is known to have contractors who envy RONIN contractors. Their CEO Ryan Zheng has tried 'beating' RONIN's stock market by trying to increase his employment via advertising. The 2 PMCs will not attack each other if they cross paths but will instead attempt to either 'roast' or insult the other. They sometimes work together but it mostly ends in bickering and jealousy.

Jaguar: This South American PMC and RONIN have a positive relationship after RONIN accomplished what Jaguar couldn't: they took down a corrupt Venezuelan political figure who condoned an attack on the Japanese embassy by Venezuelan ultranationalists. And so, with Venezuela now trying to pull itself together, the company's CEO, Hector Gomez met up with Koji for coffee and the 2 agreed to collaborate on one last mission in Venezuela, to eliminate terrorists living in Brazil.

Hale/Halo: Turkey's PMC has a friendly relationship with RONIN as their founder/CEO, Emir Demirci is a long-time friend of Koji. The 2 have known each other since they were 7 and have worked together on a few operations in Istanbul.

Medved/Bear: Russia's PMC and RONIN have a rather ordinary relationship. The 2 companies tend to tease each other and they sometimes work together to combat left-wing terrorists occupying Siberia.

Apex: Hong Kong's PMC's CEO, Xi Liu and Koji are best friends as the 2 used to hang out together when Koji had to go to Hong Kong with his parents at the age of 9 for a business trip.

Dragon: The Taiwanese PMC has a positive relationship with RONIN. They've worked together before in Southern Taiwan to eliminate Al-Qatala terrorists that were threatening to attack southern Taiwan.

Seungli/Victory: South Korea's PMC has an extremely positive relationship after RONIN saved the South Korean ambassador's life from a sniper who attempted to cripple the relationship between South Korea and Japan.

Knight: The British PMC has a love-hate relationship with RONIN as they envy RONIN's profits and praise the work they do, that being neutralising terrorism. Knight's CEO Taron Hargreeves and Koji were high school friendly rivals 15 years ago.

Majd/Glory: UAE's PMC and RONIN have a rival relationship. Their personnel do not attack one another but they like to insult each other. However, they will not go too far as to even insult each other about terrorist attacks in their countries as the Urzikstani terrorist group, Al-Qatala is their enemy.

Stars & Stripes: United States' PMC has a bit of history. They are to be known as rivals with RONIN as RONIN beat them to the punch when they were raiding an Al-Qatala building in Verdansk, kastovia. Feeling envious, the American PMC decided to spit on RONIN's name out of jealousy.

Known employers
Across the country, RONIN is hired by multiple corporations and even political figures living in Japan.

Emperor Hotaru Fuji: The Emperor himself has RONIN security guards stationed outside his estate to act as security guards. He has an armed contractor who he considers to be a personal bodyguard who keeps checking on the Emperor.

Prime Minister Yamato Mori: After his election, there were clearly people who aren't pleased with the result. Therefore, the PM has contacted Koji and asked to hire 3 personal guards who can help protect Yamato wherever he roams.

Power
RONIN PMC has been granted jurisdiction in Kyoto by the PM & the emperor. In the former capital, RONIN contractors work with police officers together to combat terrorism & crime.

Training & tactics
RONIN contractors have been trained by troops, police officers and martial artists from around the globe. They've been trained by Spetsnaz, SAS, marines, Karate martial artists, Taekwando martial artists, and even Pencak Silat & boxing martial artists.
