November was halfway through, and it was now colder than usual.

I was sat at the Slytherin table, with Severus, Avery and Bartemius. We were just talking about random stuff, until their conversation turned into a blood purity criticism.

"Regulus, you need to stop hanging out with those blood traitors." Avery commanded me, and I looked up from my food. "They're still purebloods." I can notice him clench his fist, he looks back at the Gryffindor table then back at me. "By the way—" He switches up the topic quickly, he probably found something better to speak of. "—I got us something fun to do that will haunt a Gryffindor all her life."

I try to tune out the conversation, as I don't want to get involved in those shenanigans—

Never thought I knew what that is?

—until I heard a familiar name.

"Nyx is loud enough with her brother, heard they'd be teaching her some Quidditch. She doesn't like playing it, but only watching, so let's haunt her first ever experience." I look at Avery dead in the eye. He had an evil smirk, plastered on his face. I can go tell her now, but just as I get up, Bartemius follows and grabs my arm. "Come on Regulus, we have Divination." He looks at me innocently. I recall, that Nyx is banned from Divination, as it causes problems with her ability—whatever it is—and she won't be with the rest of fourth year students of Hogwarts in the class.

He knew that well, and now, they were just planning to do it, and pulling me out of it so I don't mess up. I look around, the girl wasn't in the Hall, nor any of the other boys, and Avery had got off, walking his way to the pitch. "Avery—Bartemius, let me go." I spat, anger obvious in my tone of voice, he shakes his head and drags me towards the classroom, to which I push him and drop my book bag on the floor, running towards the pitch.

"Stupe—"

"Expelliarmus!"

I reached there on time, he was about to say the stunning spell, pointing the wand at Nyx, but I was quick enough to pull my wand and say the disarming charm, which got the others attention. He was disarmed from his wand, looked at me in anger and I grabbed him hard from his shoulder, pushing him back towards the inside of the castle, I grab his wand and throw it at him. "Scram! Don't you ever think about it." I spat at him, as he scoffs off.

I look at them, James helped Nyx land with the broom as I walk to them, she got off the broom and I grabbed her and pulled her to me, I check on her. "He didn't hit you with any other spell right?" I question.

"I didn't even know he was here—"

"Are you hurt?" I look her in the eye, concerned.

"Regulus, I'm fine." She smiles her beautiful smile. I pull her into a tight hug, and she wraps her arms around my waist. I'm glad she's not hurt. "Ahem. Distance." We let go of each other as her brother just seems pissed about it.

Wait a minute, I never hugged people, I never cared about who Avery and the others haunt, I never cared about how people felt, I never skipped a class on purpose—oh lord I skipped a class on purpose.
