( 13 ) Glistening Meadow

Night time rolled around, the moon rising up in the blue-hued sky with cobalt polygons dancing in the sky as lily of the valley and birdbill dayflowers danced in the gentle nocturnal breeze. Hajay laid down with a tuckered out Dansuki, running his fingers through her soft indigo hair as she snuggled up to him.

She struggled to keep her eyes open, but eventually she gave up and fell asleep, still nuzzled up to her partner. Hajay hummed and kept playing with her hair, watching it and the flowers sway in the gentle wind.

She was the most beautiful thing in the world to him, a beauty unmatched by even a field of violet blossoms under the moonlight.

She was a gentle soul, and he wanted to protect her for as long as he himself lived.

He thought to himself for a bit...
Maybe he could surprise her with something? For when she wakes up?

He thought and thought....until he thought of a place where he could bring her.

Hajay got up and gently picked up Dansuki, carrying her bridal style, letting her head rest on his shoulder. He wheeled through the white and blue-speckled fields, using the stars to orient himself through the vast meadow. The moonlight illuminated the field in a bright, azurish light, highlighting its beauty.

He took a detour from the straight path, following a line of abandoned train tracks, using them and the stars to direct himself. The tracks were covered in mold and rust, blue delphiniums growing out of them.

As he walked on, small cobalt fireflies started dancing around him. He had arrived at the meadow, glistening with shining azure lights. Tall, shimmering cobalt flowers swayed in the wind, coating the grasslands in a blue, iridescent light. The moon was high up, accompanied by stars and constellations everywhere, dotted along the blue color sky.

Hajay placed Dansuki on the blossom-covered field, the azure iridescence reflecting on her body. He sat beside her, running his fingers through her hair as he admired the night sky.

When Dansuki woke up and sat beside Hajay, she was stunned with wonder.

"What is this place?"

"I call this the Glistening Meadow. It's one of my favourite spots to go to."

"It's...It's beautiful, just like you..."

"Well, i think you're prettier, sugar."

Dansuki blushed and gave a small smile, twirling her hair. Hajay pulled her closer to him, allowing her to nuzzle up against him.

Cobalt colored fireflies swirled around the two lovebirds as they then shared soft kisses, the glowing azure flowers dancing in the gentle breeze and the moon and stars illuminating the inseparable pair.
