[ Robin Arellano X Reader ]

• Chapter 9 •

Today was the day the whole group, Finney, Gwen, Robin, Griffin and Y/N were going to hang out together at a 'local'  lake that they stumbled upon by accident while trying to find their way back to town when they went too far out trying to search for 'hidden treasure' from a map that Griffin had got from some random person at the arcade who seemed entirely convinced it was real and even got Griffin believing it too who then made the group hunt down the so called treasure, not that they actually believed it was real but hey, if it was, who wouldn't want to find treasure and get rich? and then they got lost since not one of them knew how to read a map and Finney was trying to lead, They were all hysterically laughing like mad men (and women). I think that was one of their favourite moments together. Y/N had already packed her bag filled with basic things she'd need like a towel and spare clothes and a bunch of snacks for them. so she just had to wait for Griffin then Y/N and her brother could start the small journey to the lake and meet up with the others. Y/N didn't feel herself today she felt a bit ill so she probably wouldn't stay in the water for too long, probably a cold. While Y/N was watching TV patiently waiting for Griffin he skipped down the stairs pulling on the straps of a backpack that looked twice his size which made Y/N laugh

"What?" He questioned with a fully -serious tone

"Nice bag" Y/N spoke trying her best to hold in her laugh which just made Griffin roll his eyes slightly and scoff, offended.

The two kids started to walk before deciding to have another race against each other, They wouldn't run all the way there since they'd be too out of breath and the sun's scorching heat wouldn't help the mix and that would mean they wouldn't even be able to enjoy the lake so they thought it would be best to only race half way on the count of three they ran, pushing and shoving the other to try slow them down *it didn't work* eventually Y/N won, despite the complaining of Griffin they carried on towards the lake.

Greeted by their friends, they took a long break just laying down. The group came to a slant and made their way down, The lake's blue, not-so clear water glistened as the weltering heat of the sun blasted down, the kids changed into the clothes they brought and slowly went into the cool, relaxing water. Gwen, and Y/N were just floating on their backs taking in the sun while Griffin and Robin kept splashing each other while Finney just watched it happen. The three laying on their backs or spectating didn't seem to interested in having a water fight, Until one of the boys splashed water their way and then it became one big free for all. Y/N tried to not get too much involved but ended up dunking each and every one of them in the water-. At the end of the fight the tired kids were ready to get out of the lake and dry off since the heat of the sun had gone down and if they stayed in there any longer they'd probably freeze. Before Y/N had time  to go, however her wrist was pulled back by Robin with a goofy smile on his face that she found oddly-charming. Y/N tilted her head before Robin pecked her cheek making her blush furiously before getting out and wrapping himself up in a towel.    Y/N laughed and shook her head before getting out herself.
