I was running. Again.
I wasn't tired anymore.
I felt my blood flowing faster through my body as my breaths became heavier.
This isn't the Hatter.
What happened to the tea parties and the hare that threw plates and spoons at my mother?
Before I knew it I was at a cliff edge, losing my balance.
"Ahhhh!" I screamed as I fell into the dark abyss below me.
HATTER P.O.V
Where was Gracie?
I didn't want to slice her face off. I just needed her blood to heal me. And then she needed to help me fix Wonderland.
Maybe the axe wasn't such a great approach.
She screamed when she saw me smile. Was I honestly that creepy? With the tattered clothes and the axe, it was a wonder she didn't faint in fear.
I needed to get back to the Hatter House, but I saw her footprints heading to the Colossal Cliff where the destructions are. If she touched that water, perhaps it would take her home, if that's the place she wanted to go.
Without a second thought, I followed her footsteps and jumped down to the destructions.
GRACIE P.O.V
I hit the ground. Hard.
"Ow." I said, rubbing my head. My dress was ruined, so I cut the lower part off with some scissors that were with the water.
I saw a figure jumping down here, it was the Hatter.
"Shit." I said, dropping the scissors and running. How much running was I honestly going to do?
"Gracie!" I heard him call out. He sounded sincere. No, screw him, he attacked me with an axe.
"Gracie, I swear on my life that I will not chop your face and eat it at the tea table. Gracie, we are late to tea! It not a polite thing to do, we must head to the Hatter House! Touch the slimy water and wish to go to the Hatter House before one of the diddly-bobby thingys hurt you!"
What? What thingies?
I guess I got my answer.
"Rawwwwwwwr!" It roared on my face. Opening it's mouth, I saw rows of jagged teeth - including on its tongue.
"Ahhhhhhhhh!"
"Gracie?"
"What the hell is that?!" I screamed, only just realising the hatter had grabbed my shoulders.
"It's a broken wish. A destruction, we call them."
"A broken wish?"
"I'll explain later, just touch the water and wish to go to the Hatter House!"
So I did. I felt whisked into the air, and suddenly I was surrounded by keys and clocks.
"The Hatter loves time. Maybe more than anything. He'll do anything to turn it back and save what he could have." I remembered my mother saying.
I fell onto a checked platform. I needed to work on my entries, I was falling a lot.
Of course, the Hatter landed perfectly on his feet, while I felt like an idiot lying on the floor.
"Up Gracie, before the dormouse gets mad at us for being late."
The dormouse angry? Okay then.
"Gracie, the dormice only know me as a guest." He said kneeling, and shoving a liquid down my throat. I drunk it, feeling that was what I should do. I shrunk immediately, only the size of a drawing pin. Then the Hatter picked me up and placed me on his head, covering me with his hat.
