I stared at Cheshire.
"NO WAY! If you think I'm going near that psycho, I will turn your tail into a dog's chew toy!" I said. That sounded so much better in my head.
"We're going." He stated, looking at me straight in the eye. There was no cheeky glint, no way to tell if he was lieing to my face. I prayed he was.
"Cheshire! He will kill me!"
"No."
"Yes! He has no mercy! He just killed that girl and tossed her aside, like her life didn't even matter to him! He has no love! And you know it."
"Gracie." He smiled his Cheshire-pedofile smile. "He won't hurt you."
I took a step back. "Cheshire... I don't want to." I said, shaking my hands. Somewhere, far off in the distance, I heard another scream. "Cheshire..." I whined.
"Gracie..." He whined back.
"Take me to the White Queen." I begged.
"I... I can't."
"Why.... why can't you?"
He looked mournfully at me. "Hatter killed her."
**********************************************
On the road to death.
I begged to go elsewhere... But Cheshire was more stubborn than I. So, we were following the path of blood and sliced bodies.
"Ahh!" I screamed. I slipped on a heart. I fell flat on my back. Ew, it had exploded. It was all over my dress now. Now I looked like the crazy murderer.
Cheshire took a seat on a skull. "You know, you should watch where you walk."
I stared at him. How could he be so calm? "And you should watch your mouth." I mumbled. Cheshire smiled at me, like he knew exactly what I said. I scowled.
"C'mon, Gracie. Lighten up."
"Lighten? Lighten up? How can I lighten up, I am being taken to an insane person by a halfly insane person. Lighten up? Please."
Cheshire considered this for a moment, shrugged, and disappeared.
"Cheshire? CHESHIRE?!" I called out. He was gone.
"Next time you say something like that, Gracie, we will have a bit of a problem." He said behind me.
"Holy shizz! Cheshire! Don't do that!"
He chuckled. "Let's go, Grace."
"Don't call me that."
"Fine, then, Gracie, let's go. We have a long walk ahead of us." He started walking.
"Why don't you just float?"
"Because I'm bored of floating. I do it all the time."
"Makes sense."
"Come on!" I started following him, because he was getting annoyed.
I heard a scream. We were closer to the Hatter. I could hear the axe connecting with the body. And I realised; he was just around the corner.
He had been looking for us the whole time.
