Chapter 4: Country of Flowers

(This has been in here for a few days. I didn't publish it because I wanted to wait until 50 views.)

"Elaina, why did you decide that we go on the mountain trail? The sun is going to set at this rate." Xed 'said' in his ink puddle form as he followed Elaina who was flying on her broom.

"Well, I didn't want the sunlight to blind me so I thought that this would be the smart decision..."

"You do know that I could have made an ink contraption for that, right?"

After a few more minutes of talking, they finally reached the end of the trees and were met by a beautiful garden of flowers.

Elaina stopped for a moment to let Xed summon Night. As he did, he went into thought.

'You feel that, right? The flowers...'

'...yeah. Should I tell Elaina this time or...?'

'I will tell her.'

As they both flew over the garden, they saw a pretty lady making a bouquet with her scarf and the flowers she picked.

"Uhm, hello."

"Hello to you too, young witch."

"Are you perhaps the caretaker of this flower field?"

"No, there isn't a gardener for these flowers..."

As Elaina and the lady talked, Xed saw that she was very thin and had poor health. 

The lady gave her the bouquet as she told her to give the flowers to someone.

"Who should I give them to?"

"M-My bro-"

Suddenly, her demeanor changed as her eyes became blank.

"To anyone that would like these flowers!"

Elaina's eyes widened at the sudden change of tone, then remembered the familiar tone of voice she had.

It was when Bendy borrowed Xed's body for a moment that his voice was both his own and had a demonic tone.

'She's been taken by these flowers. You aren't affected by it because you have magic inside you, but this girl didn't. And now, her mind has been overtaken.

Elaina looked at the flowers as she looked at Xed, asking for an answer.

And his answer was to knock her out.

He carried the body over to Night as the crow grew a larger size.

"I can save her, but I don't think I have much time. Remember in "Nique's/Nike's Adventure"? About a plant granting wishes but since it took in too much mana it mutated?"

Elaina nodded as she did remember that from her favorite book.

"How are you going to save her Xed?"

Xed closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

Ink poured out from his shadow as 2 copies of himself were formed.

"Let's go to that country first to ask questions. My clones will handle protecting her."

Both Elaina and Xed quickly left and saw the country.

"You go, I'll check on her first." 

Following his words, Elaina flew towards the gate, bouquet in hand.

As she was about to enter, she was stopped by a young guard.

"Hey, YOU! LITTLE GIRL OVER THERE!"

A guard yelled at her, shocking her a bit.
