Chapter 5: Facing Predicaments

Xed blankly stared at the event that was happening before him.

He was with his girlfriend and Bendy (who was now in his "cartoon" form, as he calls it) was playing a round of rock paper scissors.

They were in an adventurer's guild. Currently, they were waiting for Xed's rewards as he got rid of the deadly flowers and their problems. 

At first, he didn't want to accept the reward but then he saw Elaina's wallet.

Mainly, it was empty.

So, he decided to take the reward and give at least some to Artemisia. Using a messenger pigeon, he sent a message to Victorica who read the contents of the letter that had the story of the undead flower golem and Artemisia's awakening as a witch.

After that, she messaged Xed that she would be coming to the country of flowers to name her the "Fluorescent" Witch and create a story where she was the one who purified the cursed flower garden with the help of a few mysterious travelers.

"Oh, uhm, Mr. Xed, right?"

Entering the room, it was the guild's receptionist.

"Yes?"

The receptionist looked at Xed, and then at the weird creature that was playing with Elaina.

"The guild master wants to see you."

Elaina and Bendy stopped playing as they heard that.

'It's gonna be one of those days...'

'Yeah, I think so too, Bendy...'

As Elaina was about to stand, the receptionist spoke.

"Ah, sorry, but the guild master requested-"

"Nope! I'm going with Xed, whether that guild master likes it or not!"

Elaina hugged Xed's right arm to her non-exis-

EHEM!

-to her modest chest as Xed looked at her, then at the receptionist.

"I was only here for a reward, if you don't give it to me, I wonder what would happen to your Guild's reputation if you refused to give the rewards to the people who saved a whole country..."

The receptionist then flinched and didn't say anything, causing Xed to sigh.

"I'll go, but she goes too."

"T-Thank you for complying."

The receptionist fled in fear as Bendy had a thinking pose.

"So, when are you going to let go of Xed, Elaina?"

"Never."

"I don't mean in that sense! I mean, when are you going to let go of his arm?"

"He likes it, right?"

"Yeah, I do."

"Geez, get a damn room!"

""Don't we have one already?""

Both of them looked around.

"...smartasses, stupid couple..."

Bendy starts to sulk as Elaina giggles and Xed smiles.

"Time to see what that guild master wants from us."

This was Klive, the Guildmaster of the nearest branch from the Country of Flowers.

The guild master was waiting in his office as he looked at the report that was given to him. Mainly, he saw the name of the person who saved the Country of Flowers.
