Y/N POV:

A fresh cup of f/d sat at the edge of the table while I ate some f/f in from of a restaurant with a nice sea side view. It was a peaceful day, seagulls squawking as they look for food on the beach or sea. Soft chatter as some cookies go by, gently sea breeze floating by, and the beautiful sound of the ocean tide drifting in and out on the soft sand. Finally a break from the republic meetings and their bickering, it was just what I needed. Usually my friend oyster cookie would sit down and drink with me but she is busy helping clotted cream cookie, our counsel. So I sit here now, just me, myself, and I, and the calming sea with my thoughts.

That was until a certain boat arrived. Then the loud noises interrupted everything. The salty sharks and there captain arrived from a voyage, that captain of course was Caviar Cookie. Strong rugged cookie not afraid of anything from the sea, might as well be one of the best captains out there. But of course he says being captain isn't much, it's all about respect. I've known Caviar for a while now ever since Oyster introduced me to him when first joining the republic.

"Ay ay Y/n, finished up with them meetings right?" Caviar said as he was walked over the chair in front of me and took a seat. "Yup, I beat we might have another later. Then I'll have a headache again" I smiled a bit and took a sip of my f/d. He chuckled a bit "Absolutely, Oi I got ya something actually. Found it when voyaging" he got something out the pocket of his coat that was somehow clinging to his shoulders. He put it on the table in my hand, I opened my hand and saw a beautiful black pearl. "Whoa...Caviar where did you even get this?" I gasped softly and checked if the pearl is the real deal. "Crashing a submarine in the bottom of the dusk gloom sea. A friend of mine found it while climbing into the sub" I immediately looked up at him "the dusk gloom sea!? It's that place dangerous!?" He scoffed and smiled a bit "Please Y/n, I've been in tougher situations. Just had to escape a giant cookie who tried to kill my friend and I" ... HOW CAN HE BE SO CALM!? "...are you sure you aren't exaggerating it?" I asked skeptically. "Ah your like the others, thinking I lie just for the sake of it, should've been there mate" He crossed his arms "okay okay, I believe you- don't get all cranky on me" I laughed a bit and pat his shoulder. He had soft blush cover his face but it went away quickly. "Alright y/n, gotta head back. Ship ain't gonna steer it's self Ay know" I thought for a bit and held his hand "wait! Could you stay a little longer? I'd like to hear more of the story please" I pleaded, he raised an eyebrow and sighed "fine, so it went like this..."

~ time skip ~

"So anyways turns out my friend I had in the submarine and was a ghost, not that I mind tho. That ghostly lad is allowed on any time" he smirked a bit "Ain't that neat, a ghastly friend" I laughed a bit "you should at least let me buy you the ghost cupcake, sense it's almost Halloween" I pointed to the menu but he flipped the menu over "nah no thanks y/n, having ye company is good enough" I felt blushed run up to my face "aw captain, going soft on me huh? I thought I knew you~" he looked my way with faint visible blush "fine but me the damn cake" he huffed "yay!" I cheered and asked the waiter to come over.

After paying for the little cupcake the waiter brought it over and sat it in front of Caviar. He took a fork and poked it softly. "Ya know I'm not use to eating stuff like this" I smiled and put my hand on top of his "I know, just want you to have a little taste of home" he blushed even more, pretty sure others could now see it. "Yeah yeah, whatever." He said while eating the cupcake. We sat their together in comfortable silence, hand in hand as if we were a couple. Maybe we could be, I could ask him out right now if I wanted- "What ya staring at y/n? See something ya like?" I covered my face a bit and rolled my eyes "oh please, as if you wellerman" he shook his head a little "I'm not a jelly whale catcher y/n-" looked up at a clock and pushed the rest of the cupcake to me while getting up from his seat "Ah time to get back to sea, see ya later y/n."

I panicked a bit internally, I had to tell him- it's the perfect time. "Wait!-" I got up and followed him as he walked down the dock to the ship, I grabbed his hand quickly. "What is it y/n?" Caviar turned to me. I fumbled with his hand a bit, out of nervousness. "Caviar..I enjoyed the time we spend together out the republic and the time when you just get off the ship. I love your pirate talk, I love it when you talk about your crew mates and how you care for them, I love it when you tell me about your silly adventures... what I'm trying to say is that I genuinely love you and everything about you" I felt like a blushing mess. I looked up at caviar slowly then I noticed a smile formed on his face. "Finally you told me" "wait you knew!?" He laughed and pat my back, almost knocking me into the sea. "Of course I did! It was clearly obvious you liked me! Did ya really think I didn't notice all that blush?" Oh man- I feel so embarrassed.. I sighed and buried my face in my hands "Ah don't feel so bad, I'm sure mine was too" I nodded a bit and stopped hiding. "Soo..does this mean we're together—" without warning he put one arm around my waist, bringing me closer to him, he leaned close and—

*BRUMMMMMMM*

... damn you boat. "CAPTAIN WERE ALL READY TO SET SAIL!!" One crew mate yelled out. "IM BUSY!" Caviar looked at them and yelled. I let out a soft giggle "looks like you have to get going now" He sighed "yeah, not before this tho" he hungrily kiss me on the lips, it lasted a few seconds until he pulled away. "Alright now I'm heading to the ship" he let go and walked onto the ship. "Bye Caviar! See you in a few weeks!" I yelled a bit and sighed lovingly "Same to you y/n! I'll bring ya something after the voyage!" I can't wait for my sea captain lover to come back from his voyage. I truly did love him didn't I?
