"You OK?" Mom asked me. "We found them really good families."
"I know, but do they have to go tomorrow?" I asked
"It's not gonna get any easier if we wait." Mom replied. "Try to get a good night's sleep now, OK?"
🦴Buddy's Pov🦴
"Letting go of the Buddies is gonna be harder than we thought." I said to Molly that night
"Do you think they're ready?" She asked
"I sure hope so." I replied. "They're taking it pretty hard."
🤎Mudbud's Pov🤎
"You guys awake?" I said the next morning. "You dudes awake?!" I said louder
"Huh? What?" Glacier asked.
"We are now." Rosebud said
"Shush. Let sleeping dogs lie." Alienbud told me
"Is the paper here?" Surfbud asked
"Dudes, I've been thinking about it, and I'm pretty sure we have to run away."
"Huh? Why?" Rosebud asked confused
"Running away from our troubles won't solve our problems." Surfbud told me
"But at least we'll all be able to stay together." Budderball mentioned
"That's an astute observation Budderball." Buddha replied
"If you all agree, say, Aye." I told my siblings
"Aye." They replied
We walked across the room and used the gutter on the side of the house to get down.
❄️Glacier's Pov❄️
"This way. Follow me, dogs." B-Dawg said as we ran into town.
"Wait up!" I shouted as I sometimes had trouble keeping up with the rest of my siblings
We ran past the donut shop.
🍔Budderball's Pov🍔
"Oh, sweet mama. Mmm. Doughnuts." I said looking at the donuts in the shop window.
"Those look good." Sparklebud said before running to catch up with our brothers and sisters while I stayed back
Then I heard something hit the ground. "Huh?" I thought looking up. It was a donut.
"Let me at it. Give me that doughnut." I exclaimed grabbing onto the donut. I didn't get the donut, I got a net instead.
"Oh! Got him!" The man holding the net said excitedly
🌊Surfbud's Pov🌊
"Wait. Did you guys hear that?" I asked my siblings when suddenly I heard whining
"Where's Budderball?" Treasurebud asked looking around
"Dudes! The doughnut shop!" Mudbud exclaimed as we started running back there not realizing that we were all running into a trap
🦴Buddy's Pov🦴
I heard the newspaper fall onto the driveway and the paperboy whistle like every morning but I didn't hear the Buddies running down the stairs. I got off Noah's bed and into their room. Their room was empty and the window was open. I went out the window and stood on the roof and barked which got Molly's attention.
"The pups, they're gone." I tell her
I run across the roof and use the car to get down and meet Molly in the street and together we ran past town square and into town.
"I had a feeling they weren't gonna react well." Molly told me
We found a donut of the ground, I sniffed it.
"Budderball." I said confirming that the pups definitely came this way
"The pups, I hear them." Molly said as we followed the crying of our puppies to find them
The pups cries led us to the park where the Buddies were all under a net.
"Mom! Dad! Over here! Get me outta here! Help us! Come on! Over here!" The Buddies shouted
"I smell a trap." Molly tells me.
"I'm going in." I replied. "Watch my back."
"Mom! Dad! Help!"
I pulled the net off the Buddies.
"Run, Buddies! Run and hide!" Molly tells our puppies
🌌Wolfbud's Pov🌌
We ran and hide like mom told us too but we saw everything that happened.
"Dudes, they've got Mom and Dad!" Zombiebud said
"Let's get em!" I shouted as we started to chase after the truck.
"Mom! Dad!" Alienbud shouted
"Wait, Mom!" Glacier cried
"Stop!" Paintbud yelled
"Dad!" Glacier shouted
"Mom! Dad!" I yelled
"Come back here!" Photobud said yelling at the truck
"Wait! Stop!" Surfbud yelled trying to get the truck to stop
We kept running after the truck as fast as we could but the truck was faster than we were. We lost sight of the truck because we couldn't keep up.
"We got Mom and Dad dognapped." Rosebud said
"I'll never eat another donut as long as I live." Budderball said feeling guilty
"I seriously doubt that." I told my sisters
"Don't feel guilty Budderball, you may have wanted the donut but we all ran away together so we're all to blame." Zombiebud told him
"We gotta save Mom and Dad." Buddha decided
"We couldn't even keep up with the truck." Glacier reminded us. "How are we supposed to rescue Mom and Dad?"
"By working together." I told my worried little sister
"How do we know where they're going?" Budderball asked
"Deputy Sniffer. He can help." Treasurebud replied. "He's the world's greatest tracker."
