Chapter 7: Getting Puppynapped

🔍Deputy Sniffer's Pov🔍
It was the next day after we had gotten sprayed by the skunk. I was laying down in the kitchen while the sheriff made breakfast.

I sniffed the air.

"I love the smell of bacon in the morning." I said. "The smell of bacon? I can smell bacon!"

I started to bark.

"What's gotten into you, old boy, huh?" The sheriff asked me

I ran out of the station and to where we found the skunk.

We woke up the next morning.

"Your parents are waiting for you." The wolf said

We got up and followed the wolf out of his den.

"Mom, Dad, here we come." Zombiebud said

🔍Deputy Sniffer's Pov🔍
"I'm back! Sniffer is back!" I exclaimed as I headed towards the skunk. "I can smell."

I found the skunk.

"Hold your fire! I just came to say thanks. It's been years since I smelled bacon frying. Your spray must've cleared my sinuses."

I ran to Noah's house after that.

⚾️Noah's Pov⚾️
I was eating breakfast in my room and going on my laptop when I heard barking outside.

"Sniffer?" I said confused

"What's gotten into Sniffer?" Henry asked over his walkie talkie

"I've never seen him so excited. He wants us to follow." I told Henry through my walkie talkie

So Henry and I go on our bikes and rode after Sniffer.

"Don't forget this is the same dog that led us straight to the skunk?" Henry reminded me

"Sniffer, you sure this is right?" I asked the dog

🌄Photobud's Pov🌄
We followed the wolf for a while until he led us to a wooden fence with a little hole in the bottom.

"Beyond this fence lies the vineyards where your parents are being held." The wolf explained. "Now it's up to you to rescue them."

"Why don't you stay with us forever so you're not all alone?" I asked the wolf

"We wolves are needed in the forest as much as you are needed by people."

"Do you ever get scared?" B-Dawg asked

"Sometimes, but that's why we howl, to let one another know that even though we may feel alone, we never really are."

"Thanks, Mr. Wolf dude." Mudbud said

"Namaste." Buddha told him

"Bye, thank you!" Alienbud said

"Come on!" Constructionbud said as we went through the hole in the fence

"Wow. Wine country." Paintbud said

We ran through the vineyard to the other side.

⚾️Noah's Pov⚾️
We got to the farm.

"Sniffer, are you sure they came this way?" I asked

Sniffer barked.

We went inside and followed Sniffer and a goat into the barn. In a horse stable there were two men.

"Kids, help. We're being held hostage by this crazy goat." One of the men said

"Have you seen seventeen puppies?" I asked the men

"Why, no, I can't say that I have."

"Have you?" The other man asked. "Cause we could join forces and catch 'em together."

The first man hit him on the head and called him an imbecile.

"We better let Sheriff Bob know about these guys." I tell Henry

"Looks like they're not going anywhere." Henry added

We left the farm after calling Sherriff Bob and continued to follow Sniffer through the woods.

🦴Buddy's Pov🦴
I had just finished digging the hole and it was a good thing too. The boy and his father would be here soon.

"We've got to find the pups before they do." I tell Molly

We took off on our way out of the vineyard.

We waited until the people in the car got out.

"There's got to be a way in somewhere." Constructionbud said

"Quick! Around back!" Glacier exclaimed

"Hey, check this thing..." Budderball started to say

"We're short a Budderball again dudes." I tell my siblings

"Seriously?" Sparklebud said

"I think we found the way in." Rosebud told us

"Well Budderball did anyway." Vampirebud said

We each took turns sliding down the tunnel. When we got inside we were in a big room and the boy and his father who had been in the car outside were now in here.

"Puppies!" The boy exclaimed

"Oh my gosh, Selkirk." The boy's father said. "You've always had a flair for theatrics. You tricked us. Air Bud puppies. What a surprise."

"I love them." The boy said

⚾️Noah's Pov⚾️
We got to an old wooden fence and Sniffer barked. Henry and I climbed over the fence and ran across the vineyard.

🦴Buddy's Pov🦴
Molly and I just made it out of the vineyard when I noticed Sniffer was laying down by the fence.

"Sniffer?" I asked. "What are you doing way out here?"

"Muddy, Bolly, you've been saved! Wow. Them boys work fast. But where are the puppies?"

"The puppies?" I asked scared

"I haven't seen them since they headed off to save you. I'm pretty sure they've gone through this fence."

"We've just come from there. It's not safe."

"We gotta hurry." Molly said

Molly and I jumped back over the fence and raced back over the vineyard again to find our puppies.
