"Reece." I breathily said as I sat on his lap on the sofa. His hands traveled up on my bare thigh, sending tingles down my spine.

"Yes, my lady." He tilted his head and looked up at me. I smiled and started to trace his lips down to his neck and chest. I traced along the tattoos on his chest and stopped at the base of his chest where the shirt was buttoned. I paused for a while but then slowly wrapped my hands on his neck and kissed below his ear while my hips worked in their rhythm.

He smirked and untied my robe in a swift motion. It fell and gather at the base of my waist. He pushed a few stands of my hair away from my face and body, exposing me to him. I arced my back when his lips worked their way to my breasts. A sweet moan left my lips when he pinched it between his lips. He let out a short breath as he smirked. He was looking at my flustered face while I looked away. He was drinking me up. Before his hands could cup me, I grabbed it and pulled it away.

"Not so fast." I breathed. I closed the little distance between us and clashed my lips to his. He tightly wrapped his hands on either side of my rear and lifted me slightly for better access. The fight for dominance commenced as soon as we parted our lips. We didn't stop even when we were breathless and in the middle of all this, I started to undo his belt without him noticing. He was struggling beneath those jeans. Just as I unzipped his chain, he caught my hands.

He pulled back. Then grabbing my hair, he yanked it back, making me wince in pain. He leaned onto my ear, his warm breath was sending shivers down my spine.

"I thought you said not so fast." He growled under his breath. "Breaking rules, are we?" Just then, he moved his lips to my shoulder.

"Ahh!" I cried in pain when I felt his teeth dig under my skin.

I sat up from the bed, panting. I swallowed and touched my cheek. It was hot just like my body. The room was dark and quiet except for the faint moonlight peeking from the window. I was alone in bed and instead of having my usual nightmares, I ended up having a new one. I threw the covers and walked to the kitchen.

Mentally, I was hoping to not come across him.
I chugged a glass of water and when I was about to walk back to my room, I stopped in my tracks. I turned around and walked towards his room, almost like my body was walking itself.

"Finish him." I heard him faintly through the door. I placed my head near the door.

After some time he said, "If he opens his mouth elsewhere I'll be there to tear it open. Handle it yourself, for now, Theo."

Theo?

My hands started sweating and my body slowly went limp with each passing second. I knew I had to run away but my body froze in place. This confusion was eating me.

Theo? He was threatening someone with Theo? I should not have trusted him...

The door swung open making me flinch a little. There, he stood crossing his arms and leaning on the door frame in his silk trousers while I slept in the same clothes. A distinct feeling of fear and temptation sat in the pit of my stomach. Fighting these feelings, I nervously looked up at him.

I mentally slapped myself for finding him attractive in those glasses.

"How long do I have to wait for your explanation?"

"Huh?" I cocked my brow then lifted both my brows. "Oh-"

"You were right in my doorway for a reason, I suppose."

"I- I-" I stuttered while my eyes were wandering everywhere except for his eyes.

"Hmm?" He waited patiently.

"I couldn't sleep." I clenched my fist and muttered with my left courage.

"Sounds like your problem." He yawned but he still stood as if he wanted me to continue.

"I ha-had a nightmare." I swallowed. "I'm scared to sleep alone." His brows slightly raised but then he had the same lazy gaze as before.

He hadn't turned on any lights except for the one coming out from his laptop and the faint moonlight. The lamp beside his bed was dimly lit. He glanced behind his bed and said, "Go on. You can sleep here." I didn't utter a word and walked into his room. I didn't want him to question me further. I could get myself into deep trouble if I have to explain any further.

He grabbed my wrist and stopped me but he was still facing the other way. "How long were you at my door?" His hands felt hard like metal cuffs while his eyes looked at me turning slightly.

Holding his gaze, I said, "Not long enough." He left my hands free.

When the door closed promptly, I winced. "Sleep on the left side." He ordered as he walked behind me.

I scratched the back of my head, looking around. "You don't have a couch?"

"No. Unless chairs are your best option." He sat on one of the chairs and looked at his laptop. He was leaning comfortably with his laptop on his lap. The light reflected his body. His body was something I wanted to avoid but instead, I started noticing the design of tattoos that covered his arms. The tattoos crept into his shoulder and only traveled so far.

"Shouldn't you be sleeping?" His eyes were on his laptop.

I blushed and turned away. I slept on my side, facing opposite him. My breath was stiff because of my emotions and thoughts.

If I just didn't have that dream, it would be easier.

He placed his thumb below his chin. He glanced at me while rubbing his index on his bottom lip. "It's not the first time we've slept together. You don't have to feel un-"

"Y-yeah. I know" I quickly stuttered.

"Why are you acting as I bite?" He smirked.

Because you do.

I clutched the fabric of my t-shirt and held it tightly while taking a deep breath. I didn't dare turn towards him, I couldn't.

He took a deep sigh and closed his laptop. The mattress sunk a little low when he ascended on it. This was the sound of my soul elevating from my body. His king-size bed had enough room to provide a healthy distance between us. But even at this distance, I could feel my body heat up from his presence, especially my inner thigh. I caught my breath when I felt him approaching me, more like crawling behind me.

As much as I would love him to approach me, I cannot let him near me unless I want to ruin everything with my desires.

I lifted my elbow forcefully to back him down but he quickly held my elbow on time. Pinning my hand down on the pillow, he rose like a predator about to pounce on his prey. I shut my eyes, turning away from him.

He shut the lamp beside me and chuckled. I slowly opened my eyes, opening them slightly to look at him. This was the time I saw his beautiful eyes sparkle with happiness despite the faint moonlight. It had been so long, longer than five years since I had seen him... like this.

I placed my hands on either side of his face and simply looked at him. He stopped while his eyes widened. I didn't realize I was smiling until the room fell completely silent except for the faint sound of my heart beating in my ears.

"One moment you want to hit me like you don't want me here and next you're holding my face with that look." He placed his left hand above mine. "Pick your poison, Ruby."

My head was fighting against my body before. But now despite the danger he was, he had convinced me, at this moment, it's okay to play with fire. I had picked my poison.

Nightmare dressed like pure paradise.
