Pablo
He opened the limo door and I got out. There were paparazzi, shouting for me to turn to them, smile and wave. But as always, I neither turned nor smiled. I walked on the red carpet to my building. It was the cheapest I ever bought, and now it is one of the most expensive buildings in Italy. And it's all my work.
The door of the second building was already open, to the main room, which means there are already people there. I can hear soft music, people talking and quiet laughter.
I am always excited for this meeting. It's a pity that it only happens once every 10 years. It should be done at least once every two years. Peace would be more common, maybe they would get along better.
In the last 10 years, there has been a lot of strife, huge fights, a lot of lies. I got many complaints from mob bosses who didn't want to fight but it was inevitable. They needed help, but there weren't enough people to send. However, in the end everything was cleared up, but it took two years. Within two years many of their people had died, and they were outraged. But death is a daily occurrence in this world.
Of course, people die from various causes, diseases, old age, hunger. But here in our world, those henchmen die for betrayal, lies, theft, extortion. When you sign a contract in blood, when you join different mafia clans, you have to follow the rules. For just as you joined them with the loss of blood, so you will leave with the loss of much blood. You will lose your life. Because once you sign, there's no going back.
When I entered through the door, I understood that there were more people than I expected. They were already halfway through eating the food from the buffet table. The paparazzi could not enter this building since it was a private property.
'Hello, Pablo.' I heard a voice behind me that sounds familiar. I turned around and Geraldo Colosimo was standing in front of me. He extended his right hand in a gracious greeting. Being polite, I held out my hand to him.
'Long time no see, Gotti.' He said giving me a smile, which I rather wouldn't see. 'Yeah i agree, its been a while.' I agreed with him. That's the only thing that we could agree on. 'How are thing for you?Your shipments ?' I asked him trying to carry on the talk. 'Oh, boy, everything's going pretty good, I don't remember the last time that everything was just fine. Couldn't be better. Two days ago I got the drug shipment and today it's almost sold out. Great, right ?' He said trying to impress me. It's pointless.
'What kind of drugs this time?' I asked. 'Opiums. They got bored of Cannabis. Needed a change.' 'Well of course, everyone would get bored of the same thing. How much do you charge for around 120 ml?' I asked him. Opiums are pretty expensive. '$600 but in euros 290. It's not a huge difference.' He said shrugging his shoulders. 'Well, good for you. Now I have to go.' I said not letting say him one more word and walking away.
I have to say my speech in 30 minutes. I have no idea what am I gonna say, I'll just say random shit that should be common to today's meeting. Still have to meet my father.
I walked upstairs where he should be. I walked down a long, bright, shiny corridor. This design was chosen by my mother. Therefore, the whole building has a similar design. I opened the tall white door and my father was standing by the big window, admiring the beautiful view of the city, which is slowly going to sleep.
'Pablo...' He started talking with his back still facing me. 'Son, it's time.' I knew he was gonna talk about it. Marriage. 'I know, Dad. I know. I just don't know who yet.' I really don't know. That's the only thing I'm not sure about in my life. Marriage is fucked up, I like having bitches. But if I marry someone I can't cheat, that would ruin my reputation. 'You have 1 month to find someone who you can marry if you don't then I'll choose and you won't be able to change anything.' He warned me. 'I will.' I promised him. 'Okay, son. Now you should go. Greet the guests and show them who is the boss.'
I had no desire to talk to him yet. I love my father, but I still haven't forgiven him for what he did, for the fact that he almost ruined our family's reputation. At that time we were easily vulnerable because we were not united. But now we're back, and we're stronger than ever.Yeah they are about to meet bitches.
