Pablo

Theo was standing in the doorway. Watching me while I took her purse and put her in my arms  "Does she have any stuff in here ?" He asked.
"I don't think so, she came in here with only a purse. You should bring her father's car to my mansion." I said and exhaled. "To mansion ? Aren't you taking her to your home? I thought you wanted to give her an impression." He questioned my actions.
"No. First I'll take her to the mansion, then when she will get used to me, this lifestyle and her future that she can't control. I don't want her to do any stupid shit at my house, I rather see her do it in a mansion." I explained him the situation.
"It's not a bad idea. Probably it's a better idea then taking her straight home. You are right. Good idea." His agreement gave me joy. Theo doesn't always agree with me, he rather argue and argue until I agree with him. Sometimes he just does it for fun. Like a little child.
I put her in my car. Gosh, she's beautiful. I laid down in the car so that it was comfortable to lie down. Her head rested on my lap. Her long, thick hair fell over her eyes. I gently took them with my hand and put them behind my ear. She should be up in a couple of hours. Her little head can't bet everything through but it will soon. I don't want to scare her away, or push her away. It would be a dumb desicion. I laid my head back and closed my eyes as I stroked her hair.
It felt like 10 minutes drive. "Do you need any help ?" Theo asked. "No. I'll take her to my room." I would really like to get some help. She's arrogantic. "How did you come up with this idea ?" He asked as I put her under my blankets. " It's good for our partnership. It's a lot of money, you know?" I was lying to him. I haven't lied to him for ages. "So for a good partnership you agreed to marry her ? A random woman ?" He was trying to make sure that he understands me. "Yes. I think it's a good deal."
"And why her exactly? The Gamblinos family wanted you to marry their daughter too, but you didn't accept that offer ? That marriage would have been a great money maker." He caught me. "I think this deal with Colosimo family will bring us more money, secure, guns and acquaintances. The more of us the better. The stronger we are, the less we can be singled out. The Colosimo family is known not only for its ability to make millions, but also for its courage and loyalty." At least I wasn't lying about this. It made me feel better. A little bit.
" And its a different story with Gamblinos. Our relations were not always good. They are full of lies and are far away from being trust worthy. He tries to sell off his daughter to anyone that he think he can make money with. It's really disrespectful." I explained him. I hate Gamblinos. We know them for ages, they never change.
"But it's the same thing with Layla. Her father is literally giving her away to you. For what ? For money that you two can make if you are bonded as a family. And the knot is her. It's the same thing. Money, money and money. All he sees is money. He probably thinks that if you marry her right now and be with her for at least 10 years he will get enough time to make money that will be enough for the rest of his life. So that he could get out of this lifestyle. Take his wife and children away from here." He said it the way he sees it.
I shook my head. It can't be this way. "If I marry her right now. It will be till death separate us. He won't be able to take her with him. So this theory is closed.
"Elliot, but aren't you afraid ? Afraid of getting married ?" He finally asked. "I don't think there's anything to fear. It's a normal process. We all have to go through it. Either with loved ones or not. But we have to. For now I don't have to be afraid of anything, maybe in the future there will be." I yawned. "I'll go sleep now. Goodnight, Theo."
"Night." He said.
I laid down next to her. My eyes were getting heavy. After hard day of work nothing it's so good to feel your body touch the mattress. The only thing I'm not used to is to sleep next to a living creature.
