Scarlett
It's been exactly a week since Flynn and his two friends transferred to our school, and things have finally gone back to normal. Well, sort of.
I discovered the names of his two friends, Damon and Harry, which apparently are like his two henchmen, loyal to the very end.
Not like I was asking about him, but you know, word gets out.
I see Flynn everyday in class right before lunch, but other than the occasional small talk he makes, I try to avoid him at all costs. However, he has a habit of popping up everywhere I go no matter what.
It's kind of hard to avoid someone who's always around.
I sighed and shut my locker, running a hand through my hair while I tried to study my chemistry notes.
"What's wrong?" Kat asked, shutting her locker as well.
"Oh, it's nothing. Just trying to study but nothing's sticking."
"Is today your big exam?" She asked, walking alongside me.
"Yeah but I can't seem to focus for the life of me." I groaned.
"I know why. You're still thinking about Flynn aren't you?" She teased.
"Uh, no. I will have you know that I've successfully been avoiding him."
"Oh so you don't talk to him in class every day?"
"You know...not really."
I mean it wasn't a complete lie. It's not like we talk about anything substantial anyways.
"Liar liar." She teased, wagging her finger at me, causing me to shake my head and laugh.
We approached Chloe, who was seated on a bench in the quad, smack dab across from a bunch of tables set up by student council. There was some big auction going on that had everyone talking, something about winning dates with other students I guess.
I set my bag down and sat next to Chloe, listening to a member of student council shout over the intercom overenthusiastically.
"God, do people actually get into these things?" I remarked.
"I guess. Hey if there's hot guys I'm all for it." Kat laughed, taking a seat on the other side of Chloe.
"Hot guys, at this school? Really?" I raised my eyebrow.
"Hey, there's a few that aren't that bad." She defended.
"Yeah, like Harry." Chloe said, stifling a laugh.
"Chloe! I told you that in confidence!" Kat replied, hitting her on the arm.
"What? It's not like it's a bad thing. I mean hey, I think Damon's hot but I'm not going to do anything about it."
"Whoa, hold up. I thought you guys wanted nothing to do with the new guys? Remember, 'oh yeah Scarlett, Flynn is a bad idea steer clear no communication whatsoever.'" I replied sarcastically.
"Uh yeah Scar we've never talked to them before. They don't even know we exist. You on the other hand are making eyes at Flynn twenty-four seven." Kat deadpanned.
I scoffed, "No I'm not!"
"Yes you do!" They said in unison, making them crack up with laughter.
"Ha ha very funny." I said, straight-faced.
Kayla walked up to us as they were stuck in a laughing fit, accompanied by her friend Tim.
"What's so funny? You know, I feel like I'm always missing out on things." She remarked, hands on her hips.
