Chapter 3: Demons and Staff

"Is this the place?" Y/N asked confused at MK. 

MK scratched his neck while looking at his GPS for a while before looking at Y/N. "the GPS told us it's here."

Both of them shrugged as they walked into the elevator and waited as it rolled down unto the construction sight. Yes, it's that part area that got Y/N confused as hell. Why would it be here where it's construction? Y/N began to ask herself questions like if it was safe and other stuff about safety. She gets slightly worried when the elevator reached the down part below and both of them got out. 

In secret, the same birdie followed them and used his usual golden eyesight to reveal the truth. He didn't seem shocked that a certain object of his is actually there and evil demons were trying to take it from the stone. 

"It feels like I've waited an eternity for this moment," the female voice began. "Is everything in order?"

"Just making final adjustments, mother," the guy in a red-haired ponytail said with an evil glance in his eyes just like his mother who was wearing a bullheaded crown.

MK and Y/N panicked quietly as they hid behind a rock and noticed that it was the official monkey staff there on the beautiful green hill! Y/N's eyes couldn't believe what she was seeing. So the legend... the story... it's all true? Normally, a legend is meant like a made-up story by the folks but who knows... you never know. Y/N began to ask herself as she continued to watch the conversation between the demons plus the actions they did. They're trying to pull the stuff out that belonged ONLY to the Monkey King and MK's and Y/N's shock, the red-haired guy managed to do it!

MK climbed higher, which made Y/N worried for him since he was high. And no, not by drugs but because he's high off the ground. Little did Y/N know that her birdie friend was right next to MK...

"Yes, I did it!" the red male said. By the way, he also is wearing funny-looking glasses. the other soldiers clapped for them except for the poor one that got fooled... Poor thing, Y/N thought to herself. But nothing was happening, which got the redhead confused and angry at the same time. "What?! Why isn't anything happening?" He got out of the cliff. "Mother, are you sure this is the right mountain?"

"No. Maybe it was the other mountain with the magical staff sealing away my husband," the mother said sarcastically and dramatically.

But then to the shock of everyone, especially MK and Y/N, the ground began to shake as it was revealed to be the officially DBK! The Demon Bull King looked at his hooves as he felt alive. He's been locked away for so many years thanks to the Monkey King and now that he has returned... that's bad news. Y/N began to ask herself the most important question: Where is the Monkey King? 

"Flesh. Bone. I have returned to the realm of living," DBK said with a satisfied evil expression. 

As Y/N continued to listen to the conversation, she didn't notice MK giving begging eyes to the same birdie that Y/N was friends with to not poke his hands so that he wouldn't fall. Both of them didn't want to be seen or caught. But... the birdie poked like the heck out of MK that he slipped and fell on top of the red-haired male, causing the alarm to go off. Y/N squeaked out a yelp by an accident and immediately covered her mouth. Now, both of them are caught. 

"Oh..." MK groaned while rubbing his head. When he realized that the DBK family stared at him and Y/N, MK nervously giggled. "Someone ordered some noodles?"

Y/N facepalmed. Great job, MK...

The red-headed male, the one under MK, became pretty fast frustrated. He began to scream and kick like a little girl. "Ugh! Get off me, you idiot!" He did it so roughly that MK went flying. He stood up, angrily. "Do you know what you just did? You ruined my moment!" His head was on fire.

DBK became not satisfied that he stepped close to MK and Y/N, causing them to mook nervously and scared at each other before looking up at the huge ugly demon. "Two little eavesdroppers have fallen into our midst. It seems a waste to crush something so insignificant as my first act as ruler of this new world, but so be it."

DBK was about to step on MK and Y/N when his son interrupted him, the red-headed one. "Wait, Father!" He became cocky and brave, causing DBK to be mad and say: "What is this?"

Red Son, his name, cleared his throat. "Waste not your energy on these peasants. Please, allow me to show you how powerful I have become in your absence!"

Y/N scowled at being called a 'peasant'. She quietly mumbled into her breath how Red Son is the peasant one. For some reason, she didn't become scared anymore as she watched the conversation go between father and son. Guess what? DBK allowed his son to destroy MK and Y/N. The human prepared for the impact when MK stopped the attack with Monkey King's staff! She could swear she heard a whisperer saying so into her ear. But also something else: "The Lotus Holder."
