{3rd Person}

Footsteps imprinted deep in the snow show the struggle of balance the owner had on their trek. The footsteps lead to a simply dressed person, wearing black leggings and a thick pale gray jacket.
This person stomps up to a wooden door with golden light shining through the windows. Above the entrance is the bold lettering of *Grillby's*.

Pushing open the door and stepping into the warm room, the figure stomps the snow off their boots. Keeping their head down, the simply dressed person walks up to the front and sits on a barstool next to a skeleton in basketball shorts and a thick blue jacket, the hood rimmed with fluff.

The skeleton narrows his eye sockets and observes the newcomer silently as Grillby walks over to take their order while polishing a glass.
The watched person quietly orders a cup of hot apple cider. Their voice yet quiet was loud enough to identify as female.
He clears his nonexistent throat and the figure stiffens then ever so slightly turns her head in his direction, but not enough for him to see their mostly shadowed face.

"I haven't seen you around, are you new to this part of the underground..?" The skeleton questions the stranger setting an almost empty ketchup bottle down on the counter, turning his gaze fully upon them.

The girl glances at the ketchup slightly confused then turns her head more towards the skeleton and thinks about what to answer with. She opens her mouth to say something but the monster holds out a skeletal hand to shake. "Well, greet a new pal with a friendly handshake" His lazy smile turning into a small humorous smirk.

{1st Person: Y/n POV}

I stare at his outstretched hand, look up to his smiling face and back down to his hand.
I slowly and uncertainly start to reach my hand out of my pocket to shake his, gulping down my social anxiety...
but then I see a strange looking balloon hidden in his boney hand, I then realized what he was trying to pull off. I smiled slightly holding back a small laugh imagining how embarrassed I would have looked and felt.
I instead smile at him and shake my head.
"I'm not much for physical contact with strangers, sorry for not giving you a laugh." I apologize to him.

{3rd/2nd person}

<I'm horrible at remembering which POV I'm doing so I mixed it>

His eye sockets widen slightly and his smile wavers, he glances down to his still outstretched hand. He retracts his hand and sets it to rest in his jacket pocket.
His eyelights look into your jacket hood attempting to absorb the details as much as he could.

The skeleton chuckles and grins casually back at them. "No biggie, you're pretty clever. Call me Sans, Sans the Skeleton. What should I call you, oh mysterious hooded figure?"
He jokingly asks gesturing to himself then you, raising a skeletal brow at the later.

Your smile softens a bit. "It's nice to meet you Sans, my name is Y/n."
Sans nods his head, he believes he heard your name at least a couple times around before. "So.. how long have you been down here for?" He questions.

"Er.. should be about 4 years by now, I think"
You answer his question. Grillby comes over with your hot apple cider, you thank him and hand him the necessary amount of G.

Sans becomes slightly baffled at how long you've been down here without him noticing you. You must be pretty skilled at staying low profile and sneaking around.
Your voice drags his attention out of his head and back to your hooded face.

"This is my first time coming to Grillby's, I've been meaning to for a while but I only just got around to it. I barely go anywhere if I'm being honest.." You confess sheepishly.
