[Chapter 4]: •Nice Cream•

{3rd/2nd Person}

Sans and Y/n carefully step out of the boat.
Y/n waves goodbye to the Riverman with a smile under her scarf as the pair walks down a path. Their shoes quietly tap the ground each step,
Soon the Nice Cream shop comes into view.

The two shuffle into the Cutesy store.
Unnerved by the silence Y/n gently entangles her arm with Sans'.

"It looks like they still only have one flavor..." she looks down at the tubs of Nice Cream.

Sans follows her gaze and nods. "Some people aren't very creative, but at least it's decent."

Y/n hums in agreement and goes up to the counter where the smaller bunny monster employee awaits their order eagerly.
It's clear they're new and excited for their first customers!

"Hello, how can I help you?" The employee shows a Friendly smile and talks in a cheerful tone.

"Two cones please" Sans answers them.

"Alright any toppings? We recently have gotten some, such as butterscotch syrup, hot fudge, white chocolate, pearl sprinkles, star sprinkles, flower sprinkles, gummyfish, and chocolate chip cookie chunks." They list, pointing to each container as they say it.

Y/n's eyes sparkle more as she hears each one. "I'll take [Syrup choice] with [1 or 2 topping choices]!!"

"Wonderful combination! And for you?" The employee turns to look at Sans. "I'll just have Cookie Chunks, thanks"

The employee nods and starts getting the cones ready.

Suddenly the door opens to reveal no other than Papyrus. He sees his brother and walks  up to him. "SANS, AREN'T YOU SUPPOSED TO BE AT YOUR POST WATCHING FOR ANY HUMANS?"

Sans turns to his brother and sighs. "I'm chillin' with a friend." He gestures to Y/n holding the Nice Cream cones awkwardly standing besides Sans.

Papyrus looks over to them, groaning slightly at Sans' pun. "HELLO THERE, YOU MUST BE A FRIEND OF MY BROTHER'S. IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU."

Y/n nods slightly. "It's nice to meet you too Papyrus, Sans told me a bit about you."

Papyrus smiles at them then looks back to Sans who was paying for the cones.
"I SUPPOSE YOU CAN CONTINUE YOUR NICE CREAM SESSION. I'M CURRENTLY ON MY BREAK SO I COULD JOIN YOU."

As Papyrus buys his Nice Cream [Butterscotch with specifically red star sprinkles in a bowl] the other two go to a nearby table. Y/n give Sans his cone and starts eating hers.
Papyrus walks over to their table and sits down holding his bowl of Nice Cream.

You get a notification on your phone and see pictures of kittens from Twitter. You immediately click on it and awe at them. You stare at the pictures taking in the details of the cats.

"I REALIZE I NEVER CAUGHT YOUR NAME"
Papyrus states, looking at you, dragging your attention away from the screen in your hand.

"Oh! My name is Y/n." You turn off your phone.

"WELL Y/N, YOUR NICE CREAM IS MELTING"

You pause and then realize you forgot about about it, you quickly lower your scarf and start licking away at the melting sticky substance that is threatening to spill onto the table top.

Papyrus watches her and then continues to eat his Nice Cream before the same fate befalls him.
Sans chuckles at your delicious struggle, he picks off a large cookie chunk and tosses it into his mouth.
<No matter how many times I try to do this I can't, so he definitely has skills XD>
