The next morning I woke up to a seemingly unquenchable thirst, my mouth began to salivate as I hurriedly put my shoes on. The hospital was seldom quiet and the halls weren't as jumbled as the first few days staying here. Turning a corner and swiftly closing the one-person bathroom door and locking it I turned the faucet on, cupping my hands together I formed a small bowl to sip from. After making sure my throat wasn't in dire need of water I splashed the cold liquid onto my face, it promptly made me physically and mentally wake up. Bakugo had told me everything that happened about three days ago, meaning I had been in the hospital for close to four days, during that time my mother woke up and was able to start moving around. The hospital was going to release her tomorrow. I splashed my face once more before walking out of the bathroom, I stood at the corner and glanced around enjoying the peaceful vibe that lingered in the halls. The tranquil quiet was broken by the sounds of heavy footsteps down the hall, I turned to see Bakugo walking towards me; his face turned upward into a smile when he saw me. "Y/N! Sorry it's been awhile since I last saw you, I had to go on a mission." As he got closer he pulled me into a hug, his arms wrapped around me as my face was forced into his chest. I slightly blushed when he pulled away but shook it off, his ears were tinted a light pink as his expression changed to a slight elated one. He scratched his neck before continuing on, "I had some free time today and tomorrow and just wanted to know if you had wanted to go back to your house, you know, since you've been here for awhile now." I smiled before replying, "That would be awesome, I smell like a locker room and it wouldn't hurt to change my clothes either."

The walk back was quiet, but it was a comfortable quiet. The sun began to slip behind the mountains in the distance and the sky turned a vibrant orange that faded into a deep blue, creating an ombré effect that painted the sky. Just as we both walked into the cover of the trees I spoke up, "So I'm guessing you made it as a hero?" He hummed in response, his voice gently resonated in my ears. "So what have you been doing? You never went to UA High like a lot of other people." I thought for a second before replying, "I've gotten into drawing and painting, I've been thinking of opening my own business with lessons, commissions, and my own artwork you can buy!" I felt my eyes widen just thinking about it, my mouth curled into a smile as I turned to look at Bakugo. The trees around us began to sway in the light breeze, the leaves flared out, letting the dusk sun slip in and settle on the both of us; his eyes were relaxed and his face had a soft complexion. The path once again opened to reveal the same undergrowth ridden home I walked out of not even a week ago, "Wow, this is a beautiful home. I got skeptical when we were walking in the middle of the woods for 30 minutes." I chuckled and lightly gripped his arm with my fingers, "Come on, you can wait in here while I get ready." I walked him through the door frame and into the dimly lit kitchen, I walked over to a cabinet and grabbed a small lighter. My finger pulled down on the small cylinder as the friction caused a small flame to calmly emerge, I opened the glass tube from the oil lamp that was not far away and set the oil-soaked rope on fire. I turned a small dial so the fire was burning with a medium flame, repeating the same process with another oil lamp I handed one to Bakugo, "You can use this as your light, we don't have any form of electricity and have to use these as our light when it gets dark." I took a breath before going on, "I'm going to go take a shower, feel free to make yourself at home, food is in the pantry and the couch is just over there." I pointed out past the dining table to a small crook with a couch and a chair, I smiled before making my way upstairs and through the darkening hallway. Making it to the bathroom I closed the door and placed the lamp down, turning the faucet for our well water I began to take of my clothes at a leisurely pace. Stepping into the warm water I let it spill onto my face and body, the warmth making me feel good for the first time in awhile.

After getting out of the shower I put on an oversized hoodie and some comfy pants, even though it was summer the nights were surprisingly cold. Walking downstairs I found Bakugo sitting at the kitchen table staring at the oil lamp, I walked up to him and stopped at the tables edge. Moments of silence passed before he spoke up, "Why don't you remember me?" I opened my mouth to try and explain, "I- I'm not sure, I wish I could, but whatever happened that day... I just can't remember..." Bakugo stood up, the chair scratching against the floor, "Come on you can't just forget about us, about me!" His expression became somber as his voice choked up and tears developed in his eyes, I averted my eyes away feeling pangs of guilt and sadness grip at my chest. I felt hot tears well up in my eyes as I lounged forward, wrapping my arms around Bakugo, I fought back the urge to let my tears fall as I whispered to him, "Please help me remember..." I felt his arms slowly wrap around my body as he rested his head on mine, "I promise I'll do everything to help you." A hint of dejection in his voice.
