Chapter 2: sunshine

He's been thinking about the barista all night, the boy was just so cute. even when he was doing nothing, he was just adorable.

9:00am

Hyunjin woke up to his alarm ringing. he rolled over in bed, smacking his phone. He smiled when the beeping went off, sitting up in bed. Hyunjin got up, walking to his bathroom in a sleepy haze, and even running into the door. He looked at himself the mirror, fattening his hair and jumping in the shower. hyunjin desperately needs to see that boy again, and going to that coffee shop might be the only place he can see him.

Hyunjin took about an hour picking out an outfit, just going with black ripped jeans, a tight turtleneck, combat boots, and a backpack carrying his sketchbook, pencils, and a paintbrush (even though hes not bringing paint, he can paint with coffee at the cafe). Hyunjin tied up his hair, walking out of his dorm. But he didn't go to the coffee shop, he instead went to the closet cherry blossom tree. He looked around at the branches, finding the most worthy flower for the Barista to have.

His eyes quickly fell on a gorgeous bloom, picking it off it's branch as carefully as he could. Once he had it, hyunjin gently tucked it in his pocket, walking to the cafe.

He looked through the lage windows, looking for the boy just to see it empty.

He's probably in the backroom, he'll be here soon, hyunjin thought, opening the door. The bell on the door ringed and someone opened up door behind the counter, probably the break room door. But it wasn't the boy he saw yesterday. he had blonde hair, a ribbon pulling it back into a ponytail. he looked young, and he was roughly as tall as the other barista.

"Hello! What would you like today?"
he greeted him, a cheerful tone in his voice. His smile made his eyes disappear, but nothing like the boy he saw yesterday.

"Hello, I actually came to see one of the workers here, but I don't know his name. I'll just come back later" the boy smiled again, head tilting to the side.

"Well, do you remember what he looks like?" Of course hyunjin remembers what he looks like, he's been thinking of the boy ever since he saw him.

"I do, he's adorable, with freckles, the owner, grayish brown hair, your hight, really, really pretty smile, and his eyes are gorgeous..." Hyunjin only realized he was rambling when he looked at the boy Infront of him, a smile on his face as hyunjin spoke.

"You have a thing for him, don't you?" the young boy said teasingly, getting hyunjin to blush a light pink.

"I don't know him yet! but I wanna. That's why I came here, thinking he'll be working"

He looked up at the worker, his facial expression changing to more of an understanding look.

"That's adorable, my name's Jeongin, by the way. He is single, But... His heart has been broken a lot. He hasn't told me much about his past relationships, but he really needs someone who can take care of him. He deserves it. Plus, he was talking to me for an hour straight about how a boy left him a flower yesterday." Hyunjin smiled, taking the cherry blossom out of his pocket. He held it out to Jeongin, showing him the flower.

"I'll take care of him. I can promise you that" he tucked the bloom away again, keeping it safe.

" Thank you, he really needs a nice, caring boyfriend. Didn't you say that you don't know his name?" Hyunjin nodded, resting his head in his hand, leaning against the counter.

"Well, we have four workers hear. Me, Seungmin, Jisung, and Felix. You mentioned your little crush was the owner, and has freckles, so the one your looking for is Felix "
