"Guess who is back~". Toga dropped the knife in an instant. She turned to look at me. In her eyes, you could see the excitement almost spill out. It looked like she was going to burst with enthusiasm.
In a blink of an eye, Toga had jumped on me, making me fall backwards, my head heading straight for the floor.
Ouch, my head had hit the cement. It hurt like hell. Toga looked shocked, probably because it made a big thudding sound when my head hit. She quickly raids herself up so she was sitting between my legs. Her face was full of shock. I raised my body, holding it up by my hands. "ouch", I laughed while rubbing the back of my head.
It did hurt a lot, but I did not want her to worry. Suddenly Toga flew back into my arms. "OMG, Asami~ I'm so sorry", she whined. I looked at Toga and said, "it's fine. I was just caught by surprise".
We both got up, sat on her bed, and started talking about what the next mission would be. "Ugh, I really hope you know who doesn't fuck it up again," I said, lying down on her bed. "You really hate him". "Yeah, of course, I do; he's a rude jerk with a superiority complex, and because he fucked up the mission, both me and he got punished" Toga laughed at the comment " yeah, and he looks like a purple burnt chicken nugget" we both laughed. To be honest, the only "normal" and "pretty" thing about Dabi was his blue eyes, but I kept that thought to myself.
While talking/slandering, Dabi time flew by, and before we knew it, it was 1 am.
"HOLY SHIT, it's 1 am already, damn" I looked at Toga with sad eyes. The blonde stared back at me like she knew what I was going to say. "I'm sorry, I want to stay, but I have to go" "urgh, fine", Toga said, pouting.
I raised myself from the bed, walking over to the door. Just before I opened it, I turned to the blondie, and with a lowered voice, I said, "I'm sorry" the blonde just sent back a smile and winked at me.
God damnit, Toga, you had me scared for a moment; I smiled back at her and walked out of the room. Heading down the stairs and out the door walking outside into the alleyway.
The walk from my apartment was a bit of a long walk, six km, so I came home at 2:14 am. I walked up the stairs, feeling tired in my legs. I got my keys out and unlocked the door when I got to my floor.
Dragging myself inside my one-room-apartment, I notched a note on the bed.I walked over and picked it up. The note read,
" Meet me, At 3 am at our regular place~I.Y".
I looked at the paper in my hand. How the hell did they get into my apartment, and why would they want me to meet at 3 God danm am. My eyes glanced at the clock above my desk. 2:17 am.I had around a 10 min run from my apartment to the place, which means 30 minutes of rest before I had to run 1,5 kilometres. I laid face down on my bed, setting my alarm for 30 minutes. This is probably the only sleep I get today. As I closed my eyes, I could feel my body slip away.
"Asami?" a small voice in the far distance said. "Asami, wake up" I looked around to find that a small child in the far distance was calling for me. When I realized who she was, I closed my eyes. I could not bear to see her not here, not now. Her calls became more of a scream for help which became louder and louder.
"BEEP BEEP" I woke up with cold sweat running down my back. I looked over at my clock, 2:50 am. I hurried to raise myself from the bed.
When I set my feet on the floor, it felt like I was about to fall over. Danm, that dream really shocked me, didn't it?
I grabbed my keys and headed out the door. Walking down the streets this late at night meant almost no people except the drunks and a couple of overworked heroes.
The air was blowing a nice cool breeze into my hood. For every step I took, I could feel my body almost breaking from the lack of sleep, food and almost everything to keep your body alive.
Even though it was past 2 am, the city lights were still on, making hiding in the shadows a lot harder than it was supposed to be. But as long as it did not rain, I was fine.
After 9 min of non-stop running, I could finally see where we usually met. An alleyway in the darker parts of town. A place nobody than a villain or a psycho would live. And the closer I got to the alleyway, the fewer people there were and the darker it got.
When I finally got to the alleyway opening, I noticed I was a bit late, but who cares. She can wait a bit. I walked a few meters into the alleyway, making sure nobody saw me doing it.
The alleyway was nearly pitch black, but I could see a figure standing only a few feet away from me.
"Izumi, you came, still late, I see". "Really, my last name, you hurt me. I thought we were better friends", I said with a pained expression. "But thank you for the invite, Igarashi Yuki."
