I slowly opened my eyes. The burning sensation of the sun hitting my eyes was blinding.
But how could the sun be burning my eyes if I'm in bed? Wait a sec.
I looked around when I was able to see clearly, only to realize that I was not in my bed. I was not even in my apartment, but outside. Wait, why the hell am I sleeping outside? And in a park? it was too out in the open for my liking.
Then it hit me.
Oh yeah, the cops.
They had been oddly close to my apartment complex last night. And not wanting the police on my tail, I knew that it would be an idiotic move to try fighting them since my body was thriving on only 1-2 hours of sleep? And since the league lives in different places in town, it would take way too much time walking to them. So I decided to come up with the dumb idea of sleeping in a park where every hero could find me. But if I take into account that I had spent most of the day with Michael Afton 2.0 and the rest of the League, had they probably infected me, so to be fair it's not my fault.

I tried my best to get up, but the moment that I got somewhat on my feet, the whole world began spinning, and I felt dizzy.
God damn it, body, don't fail me at a time like this. I know that you are somewhat dying, but come on, get it together. I tried multiple times to get up, but every time I would try, my body would fall straight to the ground again. It felt like an eternity before I could stand straight again, but in reality it was probably more like 10 min. Looking around, I realized that the park was almost deserted.
The only people walking by were some dog walkers and a couple of morning runners. And from the looks of it, there were no heroes in sight. But just in case, I tucked the hood of my hoodie a bit more down, covering most of my face.

Walking through the city was quite beautiful at this time of day, with the orange sunlight shining through the buildings. It's been a while since I saw a sunrise this beautiful.
I think the last time I saw a sight like this was… you know what, nevermind. I don't want to think about that right now. I knew I had to go to the nearest safe place. Even though I hated it, I had to do it. My other option would be Toga, and there is no way in hell my body would be able to survive those 5 km.
So my only choice was... God damn Frankenstein.

For every step I took, I could feel my body "dying" more and more on me, which did not help since it was hard enough just finding the mental strength to go to Franky's "house". I was lucky that I didn't see any heros since I wouldn't be able to fight back if they decided they wanted to fight me. When I finally reached his abandoned living space, it looked like... Looking at the broken windows and the paint on the wall was crackling, I realized It still looked like shit. But considering that it’s his "house", it's not unbelievable since a house reflects the owner.
"HEY, Shithead, I'm gonna crash here for a few days".
Silence.
I guess he is not here. Eh, I don't really care as long as he's not putting the League (mostly me) in a fucked position.

It only took a few seconds after entering the living space for my body to give in to exhaustion. Very convenient, right in the middle of the living room. Every part of my body was throbbing with agony. That's what you get for forgetting to eat, drink and sleep. Due to exhaustion, I fell asleep in the position I had landed on the floor. Very uncomfortable. But meh, sleep is sleep, I guess.

A/N
Hey guys, I'm really sorry for the long wait between chapters and the short chapter today. I’ve been struggling with writer’s block and poor mental health lately. I’ll try to get the next chapter out as soon as possible, but I can’t make any promises.
