We reached our place and Serena quickly hopped out of my car and followed Jimin. She's never been to our place before. I've never invited her because of the weapons we keep around the house and I was worried she would come across one. Gangs like TXT, BigBang and EXO are our allies so they also come over for meetings sometimes and we also bring in people we've kidnapped or hold hostage for information in our basement and I didn't want to expose Serena to any of that.
I knew Jimin would have warned the others about what happened and that Siri was involved so they would be prepared to see her walk into our house.
We were greeted with Jin coming to check over us as we entered. Once he saw we were fine he led us to the lounge where the others were. Serena looked around at the surroundings then stopped by the dining table. I stood by the maroon couch and nervously waited for her to say something. We were all quiet, wondering how she was going to react.
She looked straight at me with soft eyes and walked up to me. I was slightly surprised she was coming this close to me as I thought she would be scared. She took my tattooed hand and held it in both her hands.
"Explain everything. Who you guys are and what you do. And please don't lie to me" she said softly.
I gulped and felt a pain in my chest. Do I tell her the truth? I was about to look over at my members but she quickly held my face and made me keep my eyes on her.
"Don't look at them for answers. I want to hear it from you Jungkook. I want you to tell me the truth."
I decided to stick with our cover story as it is still believable and it's for the safety of my members and myself. Not only that, but it's for her safety too. If she knew about the real us then people could use her for leverage and get information out of her. The less she knows, the safer she is.
"We've told you before... We work privately as security for important and high profile people. The shoot out must have been from enemies of someone we guard..."
Serena looked into my eyes and then hers lost a bit of light. She was disappointed and she knew I was lying. She let go of my hand and took a step back from me and my heart dropped. No! I can't lose her!
