Unbelievable

|Text Message| Ch. 15

September 12, 2022

I was happy it was working but suddenly I got a text from my friend's mom. My friend was sick. And there was a possibility she could die. Now I'm scared. I want to see her but I can't.

I don't think I can look up how to travel between alternate universes or something?
And if I ask someone I sound insane! But if my friend dies I'll seem like an awful person who couldn't even bother to show up in her time of need. I need to be there for her right now.

I used the phone in the employees only room to call MCA. He said he was going to be there soon. As I ran out of the store I gave the lame excuse of not feeling well to my manager. I have to get home now! I need to figure out how to get home!

I was waiting outside that mall. I quickly sat down on a bench outside of the entrance and bounced my leg trying to calm down before MCA could get here. I saw the boy from before, Rivers. He was with some other guy I assumed he met at the other store he had asked directions to. He looked at me and smiled.

I saw MCA's car speed into the parking lot. Rivers told me he might come back to the mall later next week. But I might not be here later next week. I love being here but I need to see my friend!

I got into MCA's car and told him what him was happening. He stayed silent. The whole drive home was silent. Did he not care? Did he have no regard for human life? Did he not care that this might be my last chance to see her.

We had finally arrived at the house. He turned to me.

"You know we can't do anything for you right?" He said with a very serious and plain expression on his face.

"I understand that. But I need to see her! What if she does die... I don't want what I said to her before I got here to be the last thing..." I couldn't continue talking. The tears I had been holding back this entire time had finally escaped.

"I don't know what to do for you..." He trailed off.

"That's okay. I'll just try to figure out things for myself." I said as I exited the car facing away from him.

At this point I wish none of this had happened to me I care about my friend but I also care about the boys. What do I do?

Maybe I could look it up.

{POV: MCA}

I saw Y/n look down at her phone for the first time since we got to California. It seemed like she was actually doing something on there because she was on it for longer that usual. But I thought it hadn't been working?

This whole time it's been killing me that I don't know what she does on there. I think tonight when she falls asleep I'm going to take her phone. I'm gonna look at our music and what happens to us in the future. I'm going to figure out everything I want to know.

I have to do it.

I just wonder how her phone works...
Where is the music?
Where do I find information about things?
This is confusing...

{POV: Y/N}

I walked into the house after opening the front door. It seemed empty but then I realized Ad and Mike were both in Mike's room. I saw Ad leave Mike's room and he walked over to me. He held onto my hand and guided me into the kitchen.

Before I knew it we were kissing. In the kitchen.
God help me. I'm a cheater. And I was enjoying cheating.

This keeps on getting worse.

"Y/n, come with me..." He said while still holding my hand.

I guided me to his room. I could hear the front door open and close, MCA had just come in. We got to Ad's room and he sat me down on his bed. He handed me a paper but he had given it to me so I couldn't see the side with writing on it.

"Don't flip it over yet!" He said excitedly.

"I won't! I promise!" I smiled at him.

The mood in the room almost felt so cheerful that I could've forgotten my friends possibly impending death.

"Promise you won't judge me..." I nodded.

"Okay... I wrote a song uh... for... uh... about you?" He seemed a little embarrassed.

"Okay... just flip it over!"

I flipped it. It was such a cute song. The song was clearly about yearning for someone you could never have. But that's wrong he could have me if I let him...

"This is so romantic!" I exclaimed cheerfully.

"You think so?" He questioned hopefully.

"Yes! Of course I think so!" I responded truthfully.

I got up and hugged him.

/Time Skip To That Night/

We were all in the living room watching whatever was on TV. Ad asked me if he could show me something in him room.

{POV: MCA}

When Y/n left with Ad I didn't like the way they were looking at each other, something was off...

I realized Y/n had left her phone here next to me. Now was my time to do it. I put her phone in my pocket and told Mike that I'm going to my room now.

Finally I could figure out everything she was keeping from me.

I took the phone out of my pocket and immediately lit up. This was going to be easy. But how do I use it? Wait it says to swipe up to unlock! Unlock? I hope this doesn't mean there's a password. It said "Face ID"? Can it recognize your face? When it didn't let me in it asked me to put in a password. This was going to be hard. I don't even know where I'd start. I'll think about it and then try once I've come up with some solutions.

/Time Skip To The Morning/

It turns out I had fallen asleep trying to figure out the password!

It was not the morning time and I woke up to see Ad sleeping next to me. I was in his bed.
