12th July 1937

Nathan ran around the front yard, giggling and smiling as his red ball darted away from him.
Daisy laughed as her 5 year old brother fell on his face.

"Are you okay, buddy?" Daisy asked as she wiped a tear from her eye.

"It wasn't funny." Nathan mumbles as he get back up, this time actaully catching his ball. "Can we go to the park?"

Daisy took a glance up to the sky. "It's going to rain. You don't want to catch a cold now, do you?"

"As soon as it starts to rain, we can come back!" Nathan looks at his older sister with pleading eyes.

His sister sighed before placing a hand on her hip.
"We come straight back."

"Yes!" Nathan started to run with his ball towards the park.

"Nathan!" Daisy ran after him, her dress almost making her fall, she didnt like dresses, not the ones her mother bought her.

Daisy was only 19 and her own mother forced her to wear what she called 'proper woman clothing'. Daisy didn't understand it, she couldn't see why she had these strict clothing rules, but the boys in her school didn't. She just found it annoying.

Nathan made Daisy push him on the swing.
"You know, your old enough to swing by yourself."

"How do you know, you had dad push you until you were 10." Nathan poked a tongue out at his sister, blowing a rasberry.

"Nathan!" Daisy pushed Nathan more harsher. "Don't be a baby about it."

"You're the baby." He said, hoping out of the swing and walking to where he put his ball. "And you're mean."

"I'm only mean because your a baby." Daisy crossed her arms.

Nathan picked up his ball and threw it square at Daisy's face. Daisy widened her eyes in shock at the sudden concat before yanking the ball off the ground and startes to chase him around the park with it.

She throws the ball at him when he turns around the slide. It hit him right in the back, making him fall to the ground.
"Haha! Eat it, turd dumpling." Daisy mocked her brother.

"Rotten breath!"

"Fart brain!"

"Chicken feet!"

"Hunchbacked swamp toad!"

"Old hag!"

Daisy was about to say something back, but she realised what he said and she stopped, eyeing him.

"Boy, what did you say? Who taught you that?" Daisy raised an eyebrow.

Nathan blinked at the girl. "Um...you."

Before Daisy could defend herself, rain came out of nowhere and started to bucket down on the two siblings.

"Nathan, grab your ball!" Daisy said as she covered herself with her arms, it made no changed.

It was pouring like a waterfall when the two siblings started to run down the road back to their house.
Over the sound of the rain, neither of the two heard the sound of a car speeding towards them.

It was a surprise to see a dark car stop in front of Daisy and her little brother. She grabbed on to the gremlin, stopping him from running.

The second two men started to walk out the car, running towards the siblings, Daisy screamed in hope to alert someone.
She picked up her brother and started to run.

"My ball!" Nathan cried out when he dropped the red ball.

Daisy never turned back to the ball, she didn't care for it anymore. The heavy pellets of rain splashed in Daisy's face as she ran, screaming the word 'help!'.
