It had been 14 sleeps. The difference between night and day held nothing to where you were. You had been counting how many sleeps you've got since you came here.
It has been 14 sleeps since you woke up in this hell hole.

14 times you've woken up and not seen a single glimpse of Nathan nor hearing words from his mouth to comfort you he was alive.
These...people kept you alone, giving you half a glass of water and cold scrambled eggs.

After your close escape, you were taken to a different room. This one was much smaller, had no drains and one of the walls was growing mold and dripping with water.
You'd wake up in the middle of the night, shivering and having near to nothing to help you go back to sleep.
Every morning was the same.

You would wake up, add a new day to your mind counter and wait for a few hours until the food came.
Half and hour after that water came and they you had nothing to do, but fall asleep again.

The 15th day was different. When you woke up and waited a few hours for food, it was a different man who brought the food. And you could see his face.

He was wearing a lab coat and a beard along his jawline. There was also bags under his dead hazel eyes. His hair was flat on his head and his eyebrows were unkept, messy and darker than his dirty blond hair.

"Hello." He had a loud whispering voice. "I'm Fengi."

You kept your distance, being wary of his every move.

"You must be hungry." He pushed the food towards you.

You were hungry. But the water came with the cold eggs this time and the person who brought them in was different. It didn't make sense, not to you.

"If we were going to kill you, we would have done it already." He stood, towering over the light from the door and making a huge shadow tjat casted over the room.

You looked down to the food, before pushing it back and staring back up at the man.

"Where is Nathan?" You asked, your voice clawed against your throat. You really wanted that water.

"The little boy?" Fengi started to walk around the room. "He'll be okay, as long as you listen to what we said."

You took note of him saying 'we'. You knew there was a lot of people wherever you were and that was confusing enough. But the way me said it made it sound like it was some sort of organization.

"Your name is Daisy? Daisy Rae Lavigne?" As he smirked when he said your full name, you took in a breath.

He studied you and you grew unease. "Hmm...well, I'll see you soon."

Fengi left the room. A few minutes passed and within that time you looked back down at the food.
Despite the overall taste of nothingness in the eggs, your mouth watered at the sight.

Your stomach growled, but you wouldn't eat it. You could trust it. You moved away from it, going to the other side of the room.
The flat smell of the eggs wavered all across the room, begging to be eaten.

You shut your eyes, breaking the contact between wanting to eat the eggs. You started to list everything that could happened if you eat the eggs, over and over in your head.

You bit the nails off your fingers trying to stop yourself, but it didn't help. You found yourself inching closer to the food, stomach growling and crying for food.
Soon, you were right in front of it. Drool filled up your mouth as you held a cold egg in the air. You gave it a sniff, then put it back, looking through the eggs to see any kind of colour to prove you couldn't eat it.

Finally, you broke, eating the eggs. Never has anything tasted so good. You ate it like it would be the last thing you would ever eat, shoving your mouth with it.
You didnt feel anything strange or different.

Your throat begged for water, so you took the glass, tipping it upside down and letting it go straight down.
Oh shit...

You dropped the glass in your hand, making it shatter on the floor. The eggs weren't drugged.
Your eyes rolled to the back of your head as you fell to the floor.

The water was drugged.

You startled awake, unable to move. You were in a chair, tubes connected to your body and metal clamps holding you down.
There was a bright light in front of your eyes, blocking your view from most things by it shining right in your way.
People were talking around you. In low whispers and chatter.

You struggled to get out of the chair, you didn't know where you were. You looked around frantically, you were scared to say the least. You could only imagine was Nathan was going through.
Your heart ached at the thought of him alone.

You missed him. No, it wasn't just him. You missed everyone. You missed your mother leaning on the doorframe of your room with a towel over her shoulder as she asked you about your day with the warmest smile. You missed your father's hugs and how safe you felt in his arms. You missed your friends, Steve and Bucky.
You missed being able to pick up Steve and twirl him around. You missed his sassy remarks and you missed helping him fight people who bullied him. You missed Bucky and how he would always save you from the fights. You missed his sweet-talking.

You missed them all.

"Sir, are we ready for testing?" It was the first clear thing someone said.

"After years of trying to prefect the serum and failing on myself...We can finally start again." A thick german accent spoke. "We shall begin."

That was when fire ran through your veins, burning you from the inside out.
