A tickle between your neck and shoulder woke you up early in the morning, and the sensation almost made you let a giggle escape your lips.

You opened your eyes, and when they had adjusted to the bright light of the sun coming through the window, a beautiful sight made your heart flutter with nervousness, making you grip the sheets closer to your body.

Thanks to the rectangular mirror you had in front of you, you could see yourself laying down on your side, and then, a blush spread quickly over your cheeks when you saw Alex behind you, hugging you, his face half hidden in that spot where you previously felt the tingle.

One of his arms rested on top of your hip holding you close to him effortlessly, and you could also feel how both your legs and his were tangled under the sheets.

You knew that was how you wanted to wake up every morning. There was nothing you desired more than that...

Well, to be finally his if you weren't already.

Then, you shifted carefully and tried your best to not wake the sleepy man beside you, until you were facing him — Once you did it, you smiled as you took in the precious sight now right in front of you.

You lifted your index finger unconsciously, and ran the fingertip ever so softly along the bridge of his nose. You had to bit your lower lip to try and hold back a laugh when Alex wrinkled his nose in his sleep in response to your touch.

Alex looked beautifully calm when he slept. The way his dark eyelashes kissed his cheeks as his eyelids were still closed mesmerized you.

His dishevelled hair making him look younger, his slightly parted lips.

Those lips you had kissed like your life depended on it just a few hours ago.

You felt your cheeks starting to grow even warmer when you recalled every intimate touch, every deep moan and plead. Every confession, every promise.

However, that happiness didn't avoid realization hitting you like a truck: You had had sex with Alex when you were still with Oliver.

You had cheated on him, and there was no turning back.

The pang of guilt didn't leave you for a long while.

Not when you left Alex's bed and put your dress back on again, nor when you headed to his kitchen in order to prepare two coffees, and whatever you could find inside his cabinets.

While you waited for the hot drinks to be ready, you checked your phone only to find several missed calls from Oliver and Sophia as well as text messages. As you leaned against the marble countertop, you decided to, at least, read your best friend's messages.

You clicked on her conversation, and read:

21.13pm. "(Y/n), where are you?"

21.14pm. "Oliver has messaged me
like 35 times asking me
if I knew where you were"

22.06pm. "Hello??????"

22.47pm. "You're worrying me,
talk to me asap, please"

23.54pm. "If something happened to you,
I will die. But if you're okay, you
better run for your life
because I will kill you"
