No one's Pov:

July 8th 1987
Max stepped out of the bus, got her bag, and went to her cabin. She had been forced to go to a summer camp because her parents had enough of her 'bullshit'. Like she was the problem she thought to herself. She went into the cabin, and saw two girls. They just started at her. Which made Max feel uncomfortable. She walked over to one of the free beds and started to unpack. An hour later it had gotten quieter outside and then these awful sounding bells rang. They heard a high pitched woman's voice screaming at everyone to get to the meeting hall. They all got there and max sat down on one of the empty tables. She was one of the first one there since her cabin was so close so she waited for everyone else. She then saw two boys walking over to her table. A curly black haired started talking to the other boy sitting down besides him "No I'm just saying that 1 out of 10 peopl-" "oh shit, is this table taken by anyone else?" A darkskinned boy asked.
"No you're all good." She said as she turned back to the woman who was ready to start talking and so did they. She could't help but think how familiar that one boy looked.

"Welcome to camp night owl. I'm quickly gonna go trough the rules of the camp before lunch is served.
Rule number one, bedtime for everyone at 9" the kids seemed happy they were staying up for so 'late' but Max barely fell asleep before atleast 2 in the morning. She rolled her eyes as the curly haired boy sitting across from her chuckled a bit. She just ignored him and her eyes went back to the woman.
"There are no cigarettes or alcohol allowed for obvious reasons" she continued. Max could't stay focused feeling someone's eyes boring into the back of her head. She turned around to see a brunette about the same age as her giving her a death glare. She quickly turned around again.
"Okay it's lunch time, no sneaking in the lines!" The woman said and walked away.
During Lunch Max and the boys got along well. She thought they were quite funny and maybe these 4 weeks would't be so bad.
Wrong.

As she was walking out of the lunch hall/ meeting hall, someone tightly grabbed her arm.
"You better stay the fuck away from my boyfriend, alright?" The brunette said between her teeth pointing to the raven haired boy.
"Uhm okay..?" Max said in confusion and left.
The rest of the day was pretty boring as everyone settled in and unpacked.

July 9th 1987

Max was at the meeting hall, every night there was an open hall for the teenagers to have 'fun' and play games. But as max was getting bored and was getting ready to leave, a boy came over.
Not just any boy, the boy from lunch yesterday, the one she thought looked so familiar.
"Hey" he said and continued. "I never got your name yesterday."
"Oh right, i'm Max, short for Maxine."
The boys eyes went wide as she tried figured out who he was. It took her a minute but then she remembered. "LUCAS?" she yelled a little bit loud causing people to glare but she didn't care. She had just met her childhood best friend after 6 years. They used to hang out everyday, but when they turned 10 Max's father died. When she was 11 she completely shut herself out from everyone. She even switched schools and after a while, Lucas's parents almost forced him to make new friends and forget about her. 
"MAX!"  Lucas screamed and pulled her into a hug.
They just talked all night bringing up good memories until someone shouted
"Let's play seven minutes in heaven." Everyone agreed. They played a couple of times until it was Mike's turn. He span the bottle. El sat there excitedly waiting for it to land on her. But it didn't, instead it landed on Max. Max didn't argue, not because she had a crush on him but because she knew that she or him would't do anything. They walked into the closet and closed the door. They all sat there in an awkward silence until Max spat out "Are you guys dating?"
"Me and who? El?"
"If that's the brunette girl that's wearing the yellow shirt right now then yeah, you and El"
"Well I mean yeah" Mike said and Max nodded.
They didn't say anything more and was just waiting for it all to be over. When they walked out of there Max could see the steam coming out of El's ears.
Max sat down again and after a while someone suggested truth or dare. A bowl cut haired guy asked the first question. "Mike, truth or dare"
Mike choose truth and the boy continued. "What really happend between you and the ginger" he said pointing at Max.
"Her name is Max, and nothing happened. I swear." He said and looked at El.
Mike then asked Lucas truth or dare, and Lucas replied with truth. "Pussy" Max said under her breath and Lucas sarcastically smiled at her.
"Are you crushing on someone?"
Mike asked and Lucas quickly glared at Max and replied with yes, changing the topic.
The game went on for a while and it was El's turn to ask someone. "Max, truth or dare"
"Uhm dare" Max replied.
"I dare you to jump into the lake."
"Easy" Max scoffed and got up, walking out the door and other followed with flashlights. Max got onto the little pier. She looked down into the dark water before she saw everyone running away. Taking the flashlights with them. She saw counselours coming her way, there was no way she was getting in trouble the second night. So she quickly jumped into the freezing water. She hid under the bridge for a little bit waiting for them to leave before she heard some whisper shouting "hey!"
She could recognize that voice anywhere. It was Lucas's. Even tho his voice had changed alot she still recognized it. Lucas helped Max out of the water. Noticing she was shivering, he gave her his zip up jacket. "Thank you, I had fun tonight" max said as she zipped up the jacket looking away to hide her blushing. "Me too, see you tomorrow!" Lucas said as he went into his cabin, and Max went to hers.
