A Night Of Storms....

I found myself doing nothing in particular as it was a black night outside filled with the pitter patter of rain and thunder as well as the dash of a fast lightning strike. It honestly was very soothing and my focus got extremely distracted because of it, I loved my room... it was decorated with some stuff that I loved, little trains and dinosaurs decorated my room, posters of some of my favorite cartoons. The funny creatures that filled my mind with innocence and happiness...Their funny and out of angle shapes making them look like goofy balls of happiness instead of scariness...The typical stuff a little 5 year old likes... Dino's and other things, naive to reality and just living in the moment of innocence. I felt myself shiver as the lightning strikes down on the ground which made me jolt up in utter surprise rather then fear. As I sighed, a sudden memory flashes in my mind of my mom saying that we all we're going somewhere, so I bolted down the stairs almost tripping in result but making it to the first floor successfully, to which my parents were both waiting for me and I smiled embarrassingly not knowing how long they had to wait for my distracted self to get down and join them in their journey...

They walked with me in the rain, we of course wore rain coats to not get drenched with water as the rain was pouring by the bucket loads. They were not smiling which was concerning as they always smiled.... They seemed to be staring around the area, cautious or something I didn't understand the emotion though as I was young and curious. They made me took glances in the forest which to my surprise was creatures, they seemed to look at us while we crossed the forest, the staring of course didn't put my mind at ease as I found it odd for animals to do that...Next thing I know the whole place was engulfed by an unseen force of darkness as the trees swallowed the sight of anything else and replaced it with darkness to which resulted in my parents taking out lanterns and lighting the way for wherever we were going... It was not long at all before there was a town in sight, from my experiences which was barly any to my name, the town was quiet and had a quite odd environment to it. I found myself glancing at places hoping for a sign to be there to show my young mind what was this place. The storm seemed to not really let up and continue on its rampage, occasional thunderstrikes hitting the ground with a crackle and a bright light replacing the area for a second. I've never seen such a storm and without realizing it stole all my attention to which my dad yanked me out of my daze, I was very embarrassed by that but I followed my parents, as they are my leads in the world... My innocent mind following my role models and hero's...

My parents walked to a building and entered it, keeping me close as we walked to the area with the pretty lady. They spoke to her, it honestly was your typical boring parent talk so I found myself wandering around aimlessly as I looked for something to satisfy my bored mind. While looking I found a pretty cool thing to which I played with it. It seemed that my parents forgot about me it's been quite a while... I got up from my spot to look for my parents to which they weren't even there, naturally I go up to the lady and ask her but she told me that they had to do something. But then again... why would they abandon me. I looked around the place frantically, hoping and praying that they were in the building but in result they weren't. This resulted in me busting out of the place, running like a cheetah who is being chased by other preditors. The outside environment was the smell of wet rain and foulness. It was hard to breathe and the water was raining hard, the droplets pouring on my face as I looked around for any signs of my parents. There was a bit of commotion to my left and I went over there, being quick but not to clumsy or doing anything to attract noise. Right in my line of sight I see this well dressed man who seemed to wear the wrong stuff on the wrong occasion as this was stormy weather not Impress your worker weather... He was pretty and had good looks like as If he was trying to impress someone or look dead serious. He seemed to have a metal like thing in his hand, I could hear pleas from someone to which I looked and there was another male, he seemed to have normal stormy clothes but his face was of fear and panic. They seemed to be in an argument but it was obvious that the well dressed man was getting impatient to the point that he raised the metal at the guy. He started to panic really bad and his pleas were of despratness this time, his pupils narrowed and scared, his blue eyes which shinned with fear. The scared guy seemed to notice me and he had a face of even more terror, I didn't understand why he was so scared it's just metal? And then BANG, the sound ringed heavily in my ears, crimson blood flying everywhere and ended up hitting my face....it was warm and terrifying... I stared in shock as this metal weapon shot this man limp and his body just fell to the floor... A pile of crimson accompanying his body to which to which his soul was a other unfortunate individual lost to time. Wet tears ran down my face as I wanted my mom and dad, they weren't there though... I was scared, left alone in this world with a monster standing right in front of me... He looked around and saw me. We endlessly stared at eachother and it's like time just stopped on that moment... He grabbed me and slammed my small figure against the wall, pinning me there and pointing the banging metal at my head, my body trembled and my face was filled with fear but I did not whimper or cry, I was silent, sweat and tears but no words would form in my mouth. I wanted to scream but I was to petrified to do so. There was a different look in his eyes. He didn't have one of a preditor about to murder his prey... It was more sinister... his smile was painfully wide and that's what caused my mind to snap, I screamed at the top of my lungs which resulted in him slamming me on the ground, he couldn't do further as the whole towns folk came out to see the commotion.

My parents were the last people to come and see this monster. They immediately shooed him away with more bang metals and they held me, my vision was blurred but I could see their faces of terror as I was slipping outta consciousness. I woke in a hospital, hearing the sounds of monitors and other things at work to bring me to life. I stood up feeling like my whole body was hurting and in crazy pain. My parents were overjoyed to see that I was awake and they smiled at me, giving me that parent comfort noone else could mimik... I felt no longer scared as they were there to protect me..and love me to death. But of course life doesn't always give... it takes as well...It is a lesson we all learn In our growing years of life....Bang metal is just a gun... it brings death when you shoot one in in the head and in the heart as those are organs that can end your life like many other of your organs. My head would've probably been blown to bits... but that sicko decided my death would be something else to which I am thankful for the fact he didn't get to decide my death. I look at these moments and I notice that while my parents are loving and compassionate people they have a habit of leaving  me alone. I of course learned that in the following years.....
