It's only been three hours.
It's time to go.
Rise and shine.
It's a new day. It's your turn to finally change something in your life for once.
Even then, you know you still have to sustain this. You have to be consistent.even then, it's not that hard to fuck something up.
You rise from your sheets; staring directly into the digital clock. That was a horrible night to wake up early, huh?
You get up and head to your closet, opening it and getting changed.
It fits.. Perfectly. you made a good choice.
You head out into the hallway, completely ignoring your 'father' as he sat on the couch, watching football reruns or.. Something.
You begin walking to your brand new job.
It's decently cloudy today. The sun's barely visible, and the air feels cold.
The breeze is weak, and yet you're simply happy that it isn't blazing hot.
It was soothing.
A change of pace.
Something else besides this monotonous existence.
(roll credits!)But, there's only one question left.
Are you ready for change?
Oh, since when'd you get there?
No matter. It's currently his shift, and you head through the door.
Ring!
The Cashier looks at you from the counter, waving.
"Mind helping me out here?" He asks, leaning forwards onto the counter.
You nod, approaching as he spoke again.
"Yeah, just go set those in order." He requests, pointing towards the isles- specifically the messy cabinets."Yessir." You respond immediately, heading towards the isle and lookin up at it.
You inspect around it momentarily, before holding onto it and slowly pulling it around- making quite some noise to the Cashier's disapproval.
"Try lifting it slightly when you move." He provides some actually useful advice, although there was obvious annoyance in how he spoke.
You try his advice, and realize how useful it actually is.
Some shuffling here and there, and eventually you get finished with the cabinets.
Now, the products on the cabinets themselves. Oh dear, that's messy. Do they not have a jani... Right.
You clean out the snacks- some chips, biscuits, etc.
You set them upright in proper order, stacking the biscuit packs and ordering the chips in a forward pattern. The stuff you usually see in vending machines. I don't know how to describe it, okay?
No matter. There's 3 more cabinets to do.
It doesn't even take that long. Eventually, you arrange them all properly; aligning the cabinets on the same isle and properly arranging the products on each cabinet.
You wipe a drop of sweat from your forehead, looking back to him.
He nods with approval, sighing before looking to the break timer and back to zoning out.
