In the forest... Tanjiro has cut the boulder in half successfully. Urokodaki walks toward him. "Mr. Urokodaki..." "I had no intention of sending you to the Final Selection. I didn't want to see children die anymore. I was sure you wouldn't be able to slice this boulder, but..." Urokodaki then pats tanjiro's head right after he said that. "Well done, my boy. Tanjiro, you're... a remarkable kid." Urokodaki says as Tanjiro tears up. Urokodaki hugs him.

"Make sure you come back alive from the Final Selection. Both your sister and I will be waiting for you here." Urokodaki stated

At Urokodaki's hut. Urokodaki is preparing dinner. While Galen And Kenobi congratulated him on successfully cutting the boulder in half. "Wow... What's the occasion? There's so much." Tanjiro asked "You've completed all your training, so we're celebrating. Don't be shy. Eat up." Urokodaki said "Thank you very much." Tanjiro responded as all 4 of them started eating. Urokodaki would then offer a bowl to Tanjiro, and Tanjiro takes it. He eats heartily.

'Tanjiro there's nothing more I can do for you. From here on out, you'll be going through such hardship and strife. Your training will seem like nothing in comparison. So for now, at least, you should rest well without a care in the world.'

Obi Wan then finished eating as he headed outside Urokodaki and Tanjiro didn't question this and focused on their food but Galen did as he followed Obi Wan to a rock outside as Obi Wan extracted something from the rock. "What you got there master Kenobi." Galen asked curious "A kyber crystal, I found one the other day in a rock while exploring and I brought it back with us. I plan to give this to Tanjiro as a gift and currently it has no colour, I wish to see what colour it will choose for the boy." Obi Wan says as he put the crystal in his pocket and went inside to the living room.

Later in the night, Tanjiro cuts his hair. While Obi Wan starts to craft something for Tanjiro while the kyber crystal rest on the side. "Hey, Tanjirou..." Urokodaki said "Yes?" Tanjiro responded "Did you enjoy that hot pot?" Urokodaki asked "Yes! I haven't had such a feast in so long!" Tanjiro responded politely "A growing boy like you with a hearty appetite should get stronger the more he eats, as well as grow bigger in size. But that goes for demons, too. Remember this. Basically, a demon is as strong as the number of humans he's devoured." Urokodaki stated "So, the more they eat, the stronger they get?" Tanjiro ask "That's right. There are demons who gain power, become able to transform their bodies, and even use strange spells." Urokodaki says

Urokodaki takes out a fox mask from a cabinet.
"When your sense of smell becomes keener, you'll be able to tell how many humans a demon has consumed." Urokodaki stated to Tanjiro. Urokodaki gives Tanjiro the fox mask, "What's this?" Tanjiro asked "It's called a "warding mask." I've charged it with a spell to protect you from harm." Urokodaki said "A warding mask?" Tanjiro responded

The next morning. Tanjiro prepares for the Final Selection. Before he leaves, he goes to the back room where Nezuko is sleeping. "Nezuko..." He said looking at her, Tanjiro then takes Nezuko's hand and holds it. "I'm coming back here no matter what, all right?" Tanjiro said, Urokodaki sees Tanjiro off. "Don't worry about your sister. I'll take good care of her." Urokodaki says "All right! Thank you very much!" Tanjiro responded proudly. Tanjiro starts to walk off but Obi Wan stops him.

"Tanjiro." Obi Wan called out "Yes Obi Wan?" Tanjiro responded "Please take this as a gift." Obi Wan shows Tanjiro the necklace before putting it on him.
