Luminous Heirs

Chapter 2: The Encounter

Antoinette led Aria to the forest behind the statues. The forest was guarded by the Veltimigia guards. Antoinette showed the invitation to the guards.

The Veltimigia guards inspected the invitation and respectfully bowed to Aria. "Welcome to the land of Veltimigia Clan, Lady Aria from the Reinashin Clan."

Aria humbly reciprocated the guard's warm regards. The guard handed Aria a map of the whole forest.

On the map, Aria realized that the forest covers a large land it is designed as a dome.

From the west wing located the heirs quarters and one companion of heirs companion to attend to the heirs needs. To the east are the judges and facilitator's living quarters.

The northern side is the facilities and teaching building, and on the southern part resides the guards and armory. At the center of the dome placed a large stadium.

"Lady Aria and her companion can follow the map and settle down in her room. There would be other contestants that ...."

Before the guard could finish his words Aria saw the guards reverently saluted to a man. She was shocked by the leak of cold magic and dark from the man.

Aria inherited the "enchanted eyes" of the Reinashin Clan. It has the ability to see the aura of magic.

The man has black hair and eyes. The man looked at Aria dully and rudely asked "Whose clan sacrificial rabbit, are you?"

"Wha...what are talking about?" Aria asked timidly.

"So, you're not just a little white rabbit but also very timid, naïve, and clueless."

"I'm not little, I'm in a perfect size for my age, you're just huge."

"If you say so, I'm Raven Knox from the Veltimigia Clan."

"I'm Aria Serena, the heir representative of the Reinashin Clan."

"You are the last heir to join, and I hope you survive. The briefing would start tomorrow morning."

"Same wit..." Before Aria could finish Raven already walk off. Aria realized she is always cut off when she speaks. 'Am I really that timid?'

Antoinette called her from her reverie, "Lady Aria, let's proceed to the quarters."

"Ahm." Aria observed the path leading to the west wing. There are a lot of cameras scattered around the place. After walking, Aria saw two huge five floored buildings.

"Antoinette you can go to your living quarter, I can take everything from here. I will just call you if I have any orders."

"Understood, my Lady." Antoinette walked to the right building.

Aria carried her luggage and proceeded to the left building. As Aria observes the first floor is the cafeteria. She noticed that the map lit up and it indicated she should proceed to the west side of the second floor.

Aria opened the door and was greeted by three girls, a beautiful one with green eyes, a levitating woman who is shorter than her, and a blue-haired woman whose back is facing her. A beautiful girl greeted her first, "You must be the last heir from the Reinashin Clan, right?"

"Yes, My name is Aria."

The levitating woman comes closer to Aria, "I'm Eve from Mashiro Clan, you are the last one to arrive. Are you okay with that room?" Eve pointed to the corner right room with a nice ambiance as it is facing the window.

"Yes, I am fine with it. Thank you."

"You must stay away fa away from Silvia." The blue-haired woman suddenly said.

"Who is she?"

"She sleeps next to your room. That is the reason why we don't pick that corner room. She has a fiery and competitive personality, so I advise you to be careful with her. She is the heir of the Everdale Clan. I am Camila Imogen Caito."

"I appreciate your concern. Thank you." Aria walks to her room and breathe a sigh of relief. Through her eyes she can see through the aura, she is a little bit tired. This is the first time that she saw many Saints.

She mostly spends her time in the countryside and there are few little encounters with Saints. Aria touched her choker that she made. 'I need to redo this to strengthen the blocking power.'
