Chapter 3

Rachel's POV

I walked into the Lima Bean and Kurt was already sitting at a table.

"Hey Kurt! Sorry I'm a little late."

"Hey Diva! I was already worried about you! You're never late. Come sit down! I already got you coffee."

"Awww thanks Kurt! You always know what I want."

"So now to the important part...do you have any ideas how you will get some money, by now?"

"No I don't have any idea but..."

"Why do you need a job anyways?! You know your dads would give you all the money you need."

"I know but I want to do it myself! They have already done so much for me! Now it's time for me. I want to earn it you know. Argh...but I have no idea how! Do you have any ideas?"

"Actually I have. Ok so you know Carole has a little daughter Emily right?! So she needs a Nanny for her. She is a really busy woman and always at work...and she doesn't want Finn or me to take care of her, I don't know. And my dad's always gone as well so what do you say?" "You want me to be her Nanny?! I don't know if that's a good idea. I mean I've never done this before. What if I'm not good with kids?"

"Oh come on Rachel! It would be a great idea! Besides you would get a lot of money. Believe me Carole has it!!!!"

"How old is she?"

"Emily?! She's four."

I thought about it for a few seconds. Actually Kurt's right. It wouldn't be a bad idea. Besides she's Finn's sister and I would be at their house the whole time. Maybe I get Finn to finally notice me. Of course I was at their house a few times before but he was never there. No one was there actually. I don't even know his dad or Carole or Emily.....

" Rach-Rachel!" Kurt said "Is everything alright?! I was calling your name a couple of times now...."

"Oh yeah sorry! I'll do it!"

"What?!"

"Be her nanny."

"Yay! OK I'll talk to Carole later and then I'll call you."

"Thanks Kurt! You're the best friend in the world!"

"I know!" he smiled.
