An Unforgettable Night

Finally, the rest of the group came into the room

Kazuha sat on the wooden floor. Yoimiya sat on a bean bag chair, and, Venti sat on the floor, slumped.

Hu Tao came with a bowl full of candy and chocolates.

"Heh, sorry for the smell," she said, scratching the back of her head

"What smell?" Yoimiya asked

Huh? She didn't smell it?

"Oh, before you guys came, there was a smell I had to get rid of." Hu Tao answered

"Ah okay!" Venti said with a lazy tone

"Y'all wanna play some games?" Hu Tao asked

"Sure" Y/n responded

"Ooo yes!" Yoimiya responded

Hu Tao, Yoimiya and Y/n played Y/n's favorite game and Xiao, Venti and Kazuha sat together talking while watching the girls play. The sun fell and the moon rose. Everyone had to go home. Kazuha and Xiao offered to accompany Y/n. Y/n had her back facing Kazuha and Xiao who were behind her. Suddenly, Xiao stopped and they were nowhere near Y/n's house.

"Xiao?" Y/n asked

"I heard something." Xiao turned his head around to check his surroundings and, Kazuha did the same.

Just then

A shadowy figure ran toward Y/n

Luckily Kazuha was able to push Y/n out of the way.

Xiao saw Y/n land on the ground in the corner of his eye and turned around. He pulled out a pocket knife and yelled.

"Go and take Y/n home!"

Kazuha did as told. He helped Y/n get up and he ran to her house with her.

Xiao had no mercy and a cold expression.

The kidnapper wasn't fazed though, since he thought he could easily get away. Little did he know, that Xiao had a weapon.

Without a second thought, Xiao lunged at the kidnapper
Stabbing him in the stomach. Blood poured out as the kidnapper took a step backwards holding his stomach. Xiao stabbed the kidnapper several times until no sign of life remained. A puddle of blood surrounded the lifeless body. Xiao pulled out his phone and dialed Hu Tao's number. He told her what had happened and if she could take care of the rest, to which she gladly agreed too. 5 minutes later, Hu Tao trotted over to Xiao and looked down at the lifeless body. Hu Tao looked up at Xiao and smiled. Xiao looked away with his hands in his pocket.

"Don't worry I'll take care of it~" Hu Tao said with her usual mysterious tone.

Xiao did a slight nod and started walking away.

"Hey! Not even a thank you?" Hu Tao said with her hands on her hips

Then she got a vibration from her phone. She pulled it out of her pocket and turned it on.

It was a message from Xiao

It reads "Thank you"

Hu Tao looked up at Xiao. Xiao turned his head slightly and saw Hu Tao looking at him from the corner of his eye. He knew she had read the message and he started walking away again.

Y/n made it with Kazuha to her house. She was in total shock at what had happened, and Kazuha could see that just by her expression. Y/n said goodbye to Kazuha, but before she could climb the stairs of her house, Kazuha tapped her shoulder. Y/n turned to face him.





"Hey, Y/n."

"Yes?" Y/n replied

"We're good friends, so I was thinking if.....I could get your phone number?" Kazuha said, his voice getting lower with every word.

"Sure," Y/n said with a low tone.

Y/n gave her number to Kazuha and turned around to go to her house.
Kazuha stood there while he stared at the now-closed door.
He let out a small sigh and turned away, starting to walk to his house.


Y/n ran to her room and shut the door. She let out a huge sigh as she slumped against her door. She was so tired, that she just wanted to go to bed and forget what had happened.

She turned off her lights and slipped into her sheets.
An attempt to fall asleep was made, but, these thoughts prevented Y/n from sleeping:

Was Xiao okay??

Should I have stayed there to help him?

Who was that trying to kidnap me?

What did Xiao pull out of his pocket?

Many other thoughts consumed Y/n but eventually, she fell asleep...
