Vibe Song of the Book: "Hearts Don't Break Around Here" by: Ed Sheeran

This character, Lily is similar to the vibe of the character Daisy from my review on "Isabella's Twin". She is very kind and lovable. The main difference is that Lily is non-confrontational (completely) and cannot handle raised voices or much violence. Coming from a rough home life, she is similar to the characterization of Cinderella in the 2015 Live-Action film. She was raised by her mother to be kind. She is warm and adorable, completely adored by everyone she meets. I love that, in true form for her character, she is willing to try and forgive those who do her wrong. Nobody really cares for Bella by the end of this, due to the way she treats Lily. Even upon apologizing, she still shows no regard for her cousin's happiness or well-being. I like that it shown to be justly deserved by Bella's own actions, not just assumptions made about her. Jacob is also the worst I have really ever seen him characterized, which I thought was impossible. By worst, I mean the most mean to the OC out of the stories I've read.

I love the wolves in this story, how lovely and protective they are of Lily. This story took it a step farther, with them basically rejecting Bella, which I thought was a nice touch. Emily is given more story time in this book than I have EVER seen. She's like a momma-bear with Rosalie. I love that Lily basically brings these warring species together, with no tension, when she is threatened, that was really touching to see. I would love to see more of that in the Twilight Fandom!

Speaking of the original story, could you imagine if a girl followed a guy around the way Jacob does? Accuses him of not knowing how he feels, tells him that only she understands how he truly feels, and attempts to kiss him against his will. This woman would likely be slapped in the face (literally) with a restraining order. There would be no back and forth. Part of this is also Bella's doing. She knew she would never fall for Jacob, she knew how he felt about her, and she continued to use him when Edward was gone. When Edward returned and proposed, she purposefully hid that information and when it came to light, she even KISSED Jacob to keep him around. If someone I care deeply about is not okay with my relationship with my boyfriend, they can say their piece to me about it respectfully and we can discuss it to see if it is something I need to consider or take action about. But if I continue to stay with that person, my friend/ loved one will need to deal with that or leave. You do not, in any shape or form, undermine my intelligence or judgement, if so you will not stay in my life long. She should not have kept Jacob tied on a leash to her. She should have set clear boundaries. "I love Edward. I am not, nor will I ever fall in love with you. If you cannot find a way to just be friends with me, then it is time to part ways." It is a bit harsh, but Jacob is stubborn.

Sorry, back to the topic at hand. I felt this story was good, but could have had more moments after everything with Bella and the baby happened. Let us see her future play out: the wedding, kids, college, jobs, etc. I just felt like it was an abrupt ending. I know sometimes an author might get tired of writing a story at times and want to move on to something new, this gives that vibe to me. I would love to see it re-vamped (no pun intended) with a meatier ending, even an epilogue, an actual epilogue. I really wanted to read her wedding scene...
