Father Laff AU: Volume 2

The Undaunting Past (Part 3A):

The auditorium was filled with audience members chattering amongst themselves as Laff quietly excused himself and Nadwe to their seats past the crowded row. He lifted Nadwe into his seat first before sitting down himself, sighing quietly once he had sat down. He smiled softly and looked over at his son beside him "excited for your first theater show?" Nadwe smiled brightly up at him and nodded, letting out a small "yea!" as Laff chuckled, reaching over and ruffling his hair. The overhead lights started dimming down as the audience started quieting down, Nadwe looked around confused. Laff chuckled quietly and put a finger up to his lips "That means the show is gonna start, so we need to be quiet." He whispered.

Nadwe smiled and nodded, putting a hand up to his mouth and making a "shhh" noise before looking toward the stage. The lights around the stage quickly lit up as the curtains flew open; a group of people in a line on stage as one came forward downstage (I remember stage directions :D)

"You!

You've been nothing but a thorn in my side since day one!

But I am Fantoccio the Great and I'll not... ha!

Be outdone!"

The person downstage threw down a small smoke bomb and instantly his look matched that of Dream, getting up from the knee he had taken as the people behind him moved backstage still singing the song playing overhead. He did an exaggerated bow to the audience and moved a little stage left to the beat of the music, completely unaware of the real Dream behind some discarded props in the backdrop. He quickly went downstage to the fake Dream's left side and looked at him as the other looked at him.

Nadwe giggled and pointed to the two Dreams as they both moved at the same time in the first verse; "Daddy look! Two Dreams!" He whisper shouted as Laff chuckled quietly "I see son."

"I've had enough of you

So time to be my puppet on a string

I've had enough of you

Oh, dance, my little muppet plaything!"

The other Dream quickly back-pedaled off to the side to go backstage and Dream was left on stage, gesturing to where the other went and looking to the audience as the people from backstage started quickly bringing in the next set; a ship deck. He was handed a stiff broom from one of the crew as on top of a few crates stood two other actors; one looked like Skeppy and the other looked like Quackity.

"Now!

The audience is thirsty for fun

Time to run

'Cause now your denouement has already begun!"

The other Dream hopped up onto the crates in between the two others and threw down another smoke bomb; now looking exactly like BadBoyHalo. Complete with horns, some platform shoes to look taller, and a fake devil's tail.
