Conrad's pov

I looked over to Victoria and she was already asleep. I smiled at her. She doesn't have to say anything, but I just know she's not doing okay. She's better, but not by a lot. I parked at her dorm and turned off her car. I took her purse and found her dorm keys. They I got our if her car with her purse on my shoulder, I went to the passenger side of her car and picked her up. I managed to close her car doors, open the dorm building's doors, and her bedroom door. I set her on her bed then put her keys and purse on her desk.

"April..."

I turned to look at Victoria. She's sleep talking. She does this quite a bit actually, at least when I'm around. But I've nevered heard April leave her mouth. Who's April? A person maybe?

"P-please..."

She whimpered. I didn't know what else to do, so I picked her up and put her in my lap. I rubbed her back and held her close to my chest. She wouldn't stop whimpering and whinning.

"You're okay Teacup. It's okay now. You're safe."

I whispered into her ear sweet nothings. I felt her starting to wake up again. I didn't let go of her and just held her close.

"Connie?"

I let her sit up better to look at me.

"Hmm?"

"Did I sleep talk again?"

"You did. It's okay though. I was here, I'm always here."

She laid her head on my shoulder.

"What was I saying this time?"

"Something about April."

"...oh..."

"What? What's wrong Teacup? Does this have to do with you sleep talking or did dinner finally catch up to you?"

"Not funny Conrad...It's April...She's an old friend. She died when we were young and it left me traumatized and hurt...But I'm doing fine now. I just miss her and think about her from time to time."

"I'm sorry...Can I help?"

She shook her head no.

"I'm going to change into comfortable clothes."

She told me then went to her closet. She grabbed clothes and, I guess she was to tired to care, changed infront of me. Then she laid back down on me.

"We have to get Asrael tomorrow."

She mumbled.

"I know. We'll all be there. Together...again."

Victoria's pov

I don't need another person to pity me for losing my best friend at a young age. None of my current friends, exept Conrad, know about April. But even then, I didn't tell Conrad the whole thing and it'll stay that way. I started to drift away into sleep while he held me.
