"Hey you"
Yn said as he descended the long cascade of stairs, ready to confront the man who was watching TV. It had been five days since he arrived, and he knew this peace would not last long. However, he trusted his Angel when she said she would get them out of there as soon as she could. He was willing to wait for her, even without a promise.
He looked at her, who was beautiful in her morning attire, like every other day. She looked like an Angel descending from heaven for him. In these past few days, he had realized that he liked her more than enough. He couldn't live a second without her, and he wanted to spend his whole life with her. He was falling for her truly, madly, and deeply.
He wanted to hold her every day and feel the magic electricity of her touch. He loved how the butterflies in his stomach caused chaos upon looking at her. He loved how her voice vibrated deep inside his abdomen. He loved how his body felt euphoric with her smile. Everything about her was so enchanting that he didn't want it to end.
He came out of his trance and flinched when someone threw a cushion at him. He held the other cushion protectively when he saw her almost attacking him like a wild cat. He found it amusing how she changed with her loved ones. No one outside knew her this way, only a few people, and he was beyond euphoric to know that he was among those few people.
"Hey, what's wrong with you? Why won't you leave me alone?"
She screamed, attacking him again, but he dodged her soft attacks and faked a groan.
"What have I done?"
He asked as she continued her attacks, making him stand up from the couch and run away.
"You won't leave my mind, my thoughts, hell, even my dreams. Are you that jobless? Leave me alone!"
She screamed again, but he froze, listening to her. So, she also thought about him. He wasn't the only one whose thoughts were 99% about her. He smirked and looked at her.
"How is that my fault that you think about me?"
He asked his hands on his hips. She stopped attacking him and looked here and there. How the hell was it his fault? It was her mind's fault that had gone insane, but she wouldn't admit that.
"Y-You look. I know we both don't have work to do and are lying here jobless, but that doesn't mean I'm jobless. I have work to do, and you won't let me,"
she said, pointing at him, making him blush. But he hid it and attacked her back when she again attacked him, wrestling like cats and dogs.
"Hey, I'm not the only one who is jobless. You are also jobless. That's why you are always on my mind,"
he shouted, but she again attacked him. How dare he call her jobless when she was a medical student working her ass off all day?
They were fighting like kids, not knowing someone was standing at the kitchen entrance facepalming herself.
"You are jobless. Stop being jobless, or I'll tell my unnie to not make you more strawberry pancakes,"
she said, hitting his soft spot, causing him to stop immediately. But then he smirked.
"She is not your unnie. She's my Noona. Shut up, she'll listen to me,"
he said, protesting her, making Ji-Eun, who was standing at the kitchen door, sigh. How the hell did these kids dare to drag her into their fight?
"You both shut up and come have breakfast or say bye-bye to your favorite dishes"
She said sternly. They both gulped nervously, surveying the living room they had just destroyed in a mere five minutes.
"And yes both of you are jobless so just admit that you love each other and stop ruining my cushions it's my man's hard work"
She said rolling her eyes at them and entering the kitchen, making the both of them run behind her.
Jungkook sat in his chair with his head in his hands. His brother was right - he regretted everything he had done to Taehyung. He should have investigated more thoroughly. How could he have believed a simple piece of paper and tortured an innocent soul? It was bad enough that it had undoubtedly caused trauma.
Despite his investigation being in favour of Taehyung, he had hoped it was all a nightmare and someone would say Taehyung was responsible. But everyone's answer had been the same: he was an innocent man in his fifties.
Jungkook sighed and took a sip of his wine as he looked out of the window. Someone had framed Taehyung, and the only reason for doing so was that they wanted him gone. When they couldn't do it themselves, they thought Jungkook would do it for them. Their plan had failed, however, when he had decided on ten times more punishment for the person who had put their dirty hands on his prince.
It had been two years, and he had been waiting for this day to take his revenge. But now he knew that Taehyung was innocent, just like his princess. He couldn't turn back time and redeem himself, but he could protect Taehyung instead and make it up to him.
"I'm sorry,"
he mumbled.
"I'm sorry, Eomma, I failed you. If you were here, you would be disappointed in me. I'm sorry, Eomma, I forgot your lessons,"
he continued, looking out of the glass window.
"But I promise I will protect him with my life."
