He sat on the stairs, with his head between his knees, shivering with fear, unsure of what would happen to him in the mansion. The door opened and closed, and someone entered. He peeked and saw Jungkook entering, which made him shiver even more.
He stood up, put his trembling hands in front of him, and bowed like the other maids.
"W-Welcome home, master,"
he stuttered. Jungkook looked at him, relieved to see that he looked better than when he left him. He stood in front of him and looked into his eyes, which were trembling, and met his dark ones, which made them turn teary.
Jungkook looked at his face for a while and then stepped back, looking at the maids. He nodded his head to those who greeted him, but his eyes were on Taehyung, filled with regret, although no one could see it.
"Ms. Lee, please go and prepare a room. Also, ask Mr. Park to buy some boys' clothes,"
Jungkook ordered one of his loyal maids who instantly bowed and said, "Yes, sir," as she went to do what he had asked her to do.
"You can all go now, except Taehyung,"
he said coldly, making everyone shiver. They left one by one, giving a sympathetic look to the boy who was shivering in fear, hoping someone would save him. But he knew there was no escape.
Jungkook took a step forward, making Taehyung's heart race. His tears were about to fall, his throat was getting dry, and his breath shortened. He tried to calm down, but his trauma was kicking in, giving him a panic attack.
"Have you eaten?"
he flinched at his voice, still looking down. He nodded, but then he remembered what happened the last time he didn't answer.
"Y-Yes, master,"
he said with a dry, hoarse voice, stuttering badly, making Jungkook almost groan. He took another step, taking his hand rather softly.
"Go to the room Ms. Lee has prepared. No need to call me 'master.' From now on, you are my guest until it is safe for you outside,"
he said coldly and left without giving him any chance to speak. Taehyung looked at him with widened eyes, his mouth still open from shock. He couldn't believe this monster had finally changed. But then again, maybe he was playing a bigger game this time. He couldn't trust this monster.
