DAN POV

I walk behind the school to the "Totoro Land" Izzy, Phil, and I call to meet up with them and I Phil crying with Izzy behind the big tree, I mean Izzy I get but Phil I haven't seen him cry since he was like 10.
"Guys what's wrong?" I ask nervously.
"I'm... I'm going back to California." Izzy says sobbing.
"What? That's impossible you just got here a year and a half ago." I say starting to cry.
"Izzy, sh...she got a junior college scholar ship to a college back to California and it's a once in a lifetime thing so she has to back to live with her dad." Phil says sobbing right in my shirt, I don't mind though I don't like seeing Phil this way he may not have been the nicest person to me before but is becoming friends again is the only thing on my mind so if he's sad, I'm sad too.
"How about we go back to my house to get some cocoa or something it's like 40 degrees out here." I say.
"I'm in what about you Phil?" Izzy says.
"Let's go." Phil says with his very croaky voice.

"So other then what just happened how was your day?" I say too Izzy because Phil was I guess still in the bathroom sobbing.
"Forget the day, Dan how did you treat Phil like that and now pretend that you're best friends?" Izzy says meanly.
"What do you mean? Phil left me when I was 11." I say perplexedly.
"No Phil told me that you left him when he was 11 because he said that you made fun of him because he was bi and that you practically gave him away to another group of friends because you were too busy with your girlfriends, I think her name was Katherine or something. That's just cruel Dan, you remember when I told you, you better be extra nice to Phil? Well break his heart again I will personally come back from California to kick your butt, alright?" Izzy says getting all up in my face like some angry women or something.
"What you have it all wrong Izzy Phil left me!" I say sternly.
"I believe Phil, so unless you have any proof you can stfu."
I love it how Izzy never curse.
"Wait I have proof! I have photos on my phone of Phil and I's text convo." I say showing her the messages.
"Oh, that bastard lied to me for over a year!"
"Woah, Izzy I thought you never swore." I say holing up my two forearms jokingly.
"I don't, well unless I'm angry, and boy am I angry." She says right as Phil walks out of the bathroom.
"Why are you angry? Dan?" He says with question.
"I have no idea." I say pointing to Izzy.
"Izzy?" Phil says.
"Phil, how about you tell the story of how you and Dan split up." Izzy says mockingly.
"Uh, I don't really want to." Phil says turning pale.
"No go on, I'm very curious because I think I've forgotten." Izzy says.
"You told her the truth didn't you Dan?" Phil says starting to cry again.
"Yes but I didn't know and I told her and yeah." I say giving him a tight hug.
"Izzy I'm sorry, I just needed a real friend and I knew you weren't going to be my friend if you knew I ditched Dan and left him to fall but I've change Izzy, I have."
"He has Izzy I swear." I say.
"Save it, bye Phil, and I'm sorting to ruin your evening Dan but it has been lovely." Izzy says.
Phil starts to break down in tears and cry until I end up driving him home.

PHIL POV
Well now I have one friend to my name and its Dan Howell after all this he's the one who stays, but I'm going to get Izzy back she has a weekend left in this country and I'm going to make it her best weekend ever!

"Hey Iz-"
"Fuck off." She says walking past me.
Well I guess I'm going to have to try a new attempt.

DAN POV
Phil has been very upset that Izzy has been ignoring him but I'm going to change her mind, if Phil's happy, I'm happy too.

"Hey Izzy!" I say pulling a seat out next to her.
"Oh hey Dan." She says smiling.
"Listen, I know what Phil did was a bitchy move but he just needed a true friend and when he left me I said '...without any true friends to protect you...' But he proved me wrong and he got a friend a true friend, and I'm a friend that will forgive someone and we have a lot in common so how about you forgive him too?" I say with my eyes watering.
"Wow Dan," Izzy says crying happily, "I miss Phil too, our midnight chats,our movie nights, and we even have a matching locket. Oh that reminds me here's the last piece to it." She says giving it to me.
"It's mine?" I say holding it.
"Well it's not the empty chairs." She says giggling.
"Okay Izzy back to business, are you going to forgive Phil?" I say nudging her.
"Alright, I guess I have missed him, a lot."

"Dan, thank you so much for everything." Phil says giving me a hug."
"No problem." I say.
*Zz Zz*
"Oh I got a text." Phil says pulling away from the hug.
"What does it say." I said sneakily peeking over his shoulder.
"Oh." I say as both me and Phil start to cry.
THE TEXT READ: Hi Phil, it's Izzy, you know that, but I just wanted to tell you that I'm on my way to Cali, and I'm not going to be back for awhile. I didn't want to tell you to meet me at the airport because I knew I was going to cry. So I guess last night when we became friends again was our last night together till I come back hopefully next year to visit my mum, thanks for being such a great friend, and I'll love you forever and always. Well my planes about to take off and we have to turn our phones off and I'll probably have to get a new number bc of the different counties. Goodbye Phil and remember you get one life so don't waste it on someone else's, and one other thing beat that Hidden MonsterXx
