second chance at first line
1x02

Audrey had been avoiding Scott the past few days. She knew he was really going through it, and he needed her support but she didn't want to be anywhere near the supernatural. That's the whole reason she moved to this town was to get away from it. What was the point in getting involved now when she had to separate from her family for years because they didn't want her to have any part in it? She tried to avoid Stiles and his endless questions as well but avoiding someone you live with is very, very hard. Unless it was her uncle Noah who never seemed to be home these days, anyway. It wasn't his fault, being the sheriff is a very demanding job.

Audrey was snapped out of her thoughts by coaches whistle, to find a even more distracted Scott on the field. He looked positively terrified while watching Jackson's aggression with his fellow teammates.

Scott finally stepped up to the line and ran the drill. He failed, miserably. Audrey winced as she swore she heard a broken bone. To make matters worse, Coach started to hassle him on his speed. "My grandmother can move faster than that. And she's dead!" Heckled coach. "You think you can move faster that the corpse of my dead grandmother?" Scott responded in a low gravely voice that scared the daylights out of Audrey. "Yes, Coach."

Coach Finstock continued to risk everyone's life by saying, "I can't hear you." Scott responded even louder this time. When he did the drill a second time Audrey was positive she actually did hear a bone break. But this time it was Jackson's.

She stared in disbelief at Scott's new demeanor. Maybe she would have to out herself and her lineage sooner than expected, because she didn't know if Scott was going to get through the week without killing someone.

After taking her eyes off of Jackson screaming like a little bitch on the field, she noticed the absence of her friends. Cursing to herself, Audrey took off for the locker room, slipping off her bracelet and putting it in her pocket as well.

As Audrey entered the boys locker room, the smell wasn't the only disturbing thing she noticed. Scott had pinned Stiles into a corner with his eyes glowing and teeth snarling. Seeing Scott with no morality behind his eyes, ready to pounce on his best friend wiped away any reservations she had left about keeping her secret from the two boys. Without thinking she flicked her hand and Scott went flying into lockers.

Audrey wished for a time when she thought the most awkward thing she ever endured was when she was trapped in Derek's car with a werewolf and an Argent. Not one person uttered a word since Audrey catapulted a turned Scott into a wall of lockers. That was 10 minutes ago. Everyone remained silent as all three of them gathered their things and headed towards Stiles' jeep. It was only 5 minutes into their route to drop Scott off that Stiles slammed on the breaks and pulled over on the side of the tree lined road.

"What the fuck was that?" Exclaimed Stiles. Audrey could only look out the windshield as both Scott and Stiles slowly turned to look at the girl in the backseat. "Audrey, I think you owe us some sort of explanation here." Scott said in an annoyed tone. After a beat, she finally spoke up, "Why is everyone so concerned about me, when you almost tore out Stiles' jugular?"

Scott came to his own defense. "Yes, I did do that. But you know what I didn't do? Throw a someone across the freaking room!" Before she could get a word in, Stiles just couldn't wait to pounce on the conversation. "Without touching him! Don't forget that part! Have I been living with The Scarlett Witch for over ten years?" He asked, referring to one of his favorite marvel characters. "Seriously Audrey what is going on?" Looking at their concerned faces, she couldn't hold it on anymore.
