Tazuna walking with team 7 couldn't help but feel scared, not at the entire team, but Naruto specifically, the way the kid stared him down, it was like he knew the whole mission was a lie. He gulped, if the kid knew why didn't he just say it, maybe he had alterior motives but seeing as he couldn't read the kid, he cast away the thought. Sakura and Kakashi were conversing between themselves, mostly Sakura asking questions, and Kakashi answering with Tazuna occasionally chiming in. The two Uchiha boys were silent, though Naruto looked like he was pondering something. Sasuke had just simply zoned out after wondering what kind of training Naruto did. They soon came across a puddle, on sight Naruto weaved handsigns and sent a deadly amount of lightning chakra into the puddle. Sakura and Tazuna were about to question why he did that but two agonizing screams were heard as two ninja flew out of the water. Kakashi and the others prepared for an attack but as soon as the ninja were out they got blasted with a fireball from Naruto who in the eyes of everyone there didn't even use handsigns. One of the ninja who were revealed as the demon brothers fell dead as he received most of the attack. The other stared in disbelief that a gennin could do something like this, but seeing his brother dead pushed him into a blind rage as he ran at Naruto with eyes that promised revenge and a painful death. That proved to be a terrible mistake as his glare met the blazing red eyes of the sharingan. Naruto calmly spoke as the ninja slowed down to a crawl.
"Tell me all you know". The rogue nin narrated everything, from Zabuza and Haku, to Gato and how he planned to stop the bridge from being completed.
Kakashi turned to Tazuna as if waiting for a confirmation. The elderly man just simply nodded sadly as he could no longer hide the truth from them. Kakashi getting his answer turned to his team.
"Protocol states that we turn back at this point, but I'll leave the decision to you". His team, mostly Sasuke and Sakura nodded as they wanted to continue the mission. Naruto then spoke up "besides we're basically there, it'd be stupid to turn all the way back now wouldn't it?". Kakashi only smiled at his student. Over these months, Naruto had opened up a bit, at least he could tolerate his teammates being anywhere near him. When they started he was a loner, hopefully he could make friends with time. Or at least he hoped. With that Kakashi and team 7 continued the mission to help Tazuna take care of Gato and his men.

Team Kakashi were currently in a heated battle against Zabuza Momoichi, one of the 7 ninja swordsmen of the mist. At least Naruto and Kakashi were. Naruto thought he could've handled Zabuza, but had to take into account his sensei was here with him. Still, they were handling and overwhelming him without much difficulty. Especially with Naruto's sharingan. Zabuza was on the back foot ever since the fight had started, he heavily underestimated the kid and that cost him an entire forearm, and with that most of his jutsu and physical strength. He knew he was fighting a lost battle, but his pride as a Shinobi didn't let him concede. Water jutsu after jutsu, he threw at them, but it was either copied or countered. Plus they both had the sharingan, which was a major inconvenience. He jumped few metres away from them, creating some space,weaving handsigns for what could well be his last ditch effort to kill his opponents.
"WATER HYDRA JUTSU". The jutsu in itself was something that Kakashi or even Naruto expected, Kakashi due to not having enough chakra left to properly copy the jutsu, and Naruto because he actually thought the other person hiding in the trees would attack along with Zabuza. As the attack barreled towards them, time seemed to slow down for Naruto, everything came down to a crawl. He had to use it this time, his Mangekyo sharingan. With a display of speed no one his age should be capable of, he appeared behind Zabuza, piercing him through the heart with a chidori he copied from Kakashi. The only sound across the battlefield was the loud chirping sound of the chidori. Zabuza was defeated, and with a thud the now lifeless body of the said ninja dropped to the floor. The masked ninja seeing his master die, went into a blind rage. Lunging at Naruto with intent to kill.
"I was wondering when you'd come out". Naruto said almost thoughtfully.
The masked nin weaved handsigns and actually caught Naruto and Kakashi off guard when they were quickly surrounded by ice.
"Demonic crystal ice mirrors!". Yelled the masked nin as he sped through each mirror all while bombarding them with senbon. This proved to be almost useless as they both easily evaded the attacks. The masked nin in desperation, or most likely in a state of bloodlust, just kept attacking relentlessly. Naruto who was actually getting tired of the same attacks, weaved some handsigns.
"Great fire annihilation!!!". He yelled as a massive burst of flames engulfed the area, destroying the ice mirrors with it. The masked nin landed on the ground, shocked at the scale of the attack. But due to his rage paid little mind to it as he dashed at his target. He was so focused on his intended target and blinded by rage that he failed to sense the immense amount of chakra being charged up. Kakashi who used the distraction to charge up a chidori, dashed at the masked nin from behind. The masked nin, who was dashing at Naruto, finally sensed the approaching attack, but was too late. Kakashi had already pierced through with the chidori, killing him.
The masked nin dropped dead to the floor only to be incinerated by Naruto, who got a surprised look from his sensei, who wasn't expecting him to think of such a disposition tactic.
Sasuke, Sakura and Tazuna, who were watching the battle all came out of their hiding places with looks that could make a gaping fish jealous. Sakura and Tazuna were too stunned to even speak while Sasuke was inwardly commending himself for sucking up and siding with Naruto. If he only he was this strong. Surprisingly he found himself actually trying to compare Naruto to Itachi, and what surprised him more was that he actually thought Naruto could match Itachi in power. With Naruto's help he would reach his goal in no time. He shrugged off his thoughts when he heard his sensei call for attention for them to proceed to Tazuna's house.
