Sweet-expressive

It was windy out, something uncommon for this time period. You'd think that the middle of summer meant sunburns, hot temperatures, and refreshing pools you'd want to jump right into but unfortunately it was cold, suffocated, and better to stay indoors. Luckily in times like these a good coffee or two always lightened the mood which sounded like a great idea considering the time. In an alternate universe a multiverse cafe was bustling with customers. Many came singularly to treat themselves to something warm and delicious while others came in groups excited, or more-so relieved to find someplace away from the cold. In this case a group of 5 arrived through the doors. Some complained of how windy it was while others were glad to have even made it all the way to the cafe in one piece, one in particular looked around taking in the calm atmosphere of the place. His reaction was odd, almost as if they had never casually strolled into someplace for enjoyment.

The owner of the cafe watched the group carefully and with curiosity, he usually recognized all his customers and knew their orders to perfection but not a single face among the group seemed familiar. It seemed that today anything unusual would be recurrent.

Ccino prepared himself for the group of 5 waiting at the register for them to give their orders, luckily once the group looked over the menu hanging up above they all seemed to know what they wanted. The first to go up was a skeleton with a cracked skull who despite his looks was probably the only skeleton among the group dressed adequately for the weather. The soft turtleneck sweater combined with a graphic t-shirt over and black slacks looked comfortable.

Ccino greeted him, "Good morning, welcome to the Multiverse Cafe what would you like to order?" while Ccino got Horror situated he hadn't realized somebody watching him from afar. They stared intently at Ccino as he smiled and greeted everyone of them nicely and unafraid despite their odd and usually menacing appearance. It was a nice change of pace that easily caught whoever was watching his attention. One by one each of the group members ordered what they wanted and went off to sit at an unoccupied table now just waiting for their last person to order. Ccino realized that the last person to order was the same person he saw look at the cafe in awe, they were a fairly tall skeleton with emerald eyes and a laid back expression. His fashion sense was unique, he wore a black work-wear jacket, a graphic t-shirt under and black jeans with decorative patches.

Ccino had heard the others address him as Nightmare and they seemed to follow whatever it is he said, kind of like a leader. Guess the group really respected him. What was odd was that Ccino studied his expression seeing him sort of admiring something. Nevertheless Ccino greeted him like the others, "Hello, welcome to the Multiverse Cafe what can I get for you?" Nightmare seemed to snap out his thoughts and cleared his throat, "Hi- may I get a matcha latte, please?" Ccino nodded happily, "Of course you can, personally It's one of my favorites'' the comment seemed to make Nightmare settle his nerves as he grinned back, "It's great isn't it? it's like vanilla but subtle and better" Ccino agreed, "That's a perfect way to put it, I never could explain it as well as you did" Nightmare smiled this time seeming a bit flustered, Ccino smiled back at him with a honey glowed face handing him his receipt. Both of them waved bye to each other rather content with how nicely they got along.

Nightmare walked back quietly sitting alongside Cross. The group had picked out a round table sitting in the way they ordered: Horror, Dust, Killer, Cross then Nightmare. Most of the guys were chatting about what they would do when they got home, they were debating rather loudly if they would watch a movie or play video games. Killer and Cross wanted to play but Dust and Horror would rather watch a movie. Killer bickered, "We watch movies every time we get back from a mission, and besides Dust your always falling asleep!" Horror interrupted, "Yeah but you and Cross always hog the controls! Not to mention you guys always want to play the same 1 v 1 shooting game, it's not fun to see Cross get shot up all the time" Cross looked up from his phone, offended and with a gasp, " Hey- that's not true! Besides who are you calling a hogger? You're always taking all the food when we watch movies" Dust just watched all three of them bicker.
